@veryusername: No, not at all. Did you actually bother to read the review? The graphics are WAY better. Movement and flow with new coded animations are stellar. As a Show fan, I'm always very skeptical about just paying for a new roster (COUGH - See Madden until this year). Show 16 rocks!
Great review explaining where the game failed, but he was even kinder than me. There is no actual "pause" in the game. If nature calls, a text, or call happens. You die. Then go back to the start of that level. It's just repetitive fetch quest crap, & the constant "re-spawning" of enemies in specific areas take you out of any moment you try to have. Hell, Resistance figured this out over 8 years ago. Meh, it's a beautiful looking & fluidly sound playing game, but that's it. Non-existent story, poor level design, & constant repetition grinding get on your nerves. They took the $, & delivered a weak game. It's a 5-10 game. Get it, and play it...but only for $20 or less IMHO
at 1st I was pissed about the score & thought, "aw jeez, here we go again with gamespot". But after watching the review, I have to say that Carolyn has specific reasons for her score. Agree or disagree, but if someone gives the exact reasons for a lower score in the "Bad" while strongly praising all the "Good", it sits just fine with me. I hate meaningless generic bad like "didn't like it"/"not for me". All in all great review, picking it up tomorrow, & IGN gave it a solid 10 so NBD
