I did, it was aggressively mediocre. The IP deserves better. Now that Among Us has become popular they could do a social game like that, but with AAA production values.

Claptrap from Boredlands (no typo) for being a distillation of the unfunny Gearbox humor

I have played it and it is pretty bad. It's not a complete abomination or anything, but it would have been below average even ten years ago.

Overrated by the press, but it was always going to be that way: the gaming press exists to promote a game like that, not critique it. The public at large has a much more polarized view of it. Metacritic user score sits at 5.7, which is a fair reflection of the opinion split I see when this game is discussed on forums or discords (in fact it might be even too generous).

I have observed three kinds of people: those who thought the gameplay was great but the story a hot mess and that sinks the game, those who acknowledge the story is has serious problems but conclude gameplay is what matters and those who unconditionally loved both gameplay and story (a minority, as far as I could see).

So we're looking for a Myst-like game but on a space station. Click to move and fixed screens in first person. No other NPCs, only enemy robots. Is that correct?

I don't see why: I have done all the content, such as it is, and the gameplay is not something I'd return to for any reason.
