[QUOTE="AlmightyDerek"][QUOTE="osan0"] last i heard its going to be playable at E3. so its not going to be like the wii where they just took out a small box with a blue light around the disc drive at E3 05 i think it was. well probably not. so i agree...we should have a name and a very clear idea about what it is in terms of how it plays games (though i doubt ninty will reveal processing specs). i dont think we will know everything abut it at E3...there may be a few surprises left for closer to launch. but a name and how it plays games should be much clearer by the end of next week. assuming, of course, that the rumour about nintendo having actual demos is true. could be like E3 05 where they just show a box and stick with the project cafe name....assuming that cafe is actually its project name. has that even been confirmed? *sigh* boy ninty know how to keep secrets :P.osan0
Yeah I think the reveal will be more like the 3DS one at the last E3, where we got a lot of info, but not everything. I doubt it will be like E3 '05. Nintendo actually did state that they would reveal the specs at E3 (on the same press release stating that it would be playable). It's possible they won't reveal all the specs as Nintendo is very secretive, but it's a good chance they'll reveal some of them.

aye which specs. technically ninty did release an official spec sheet for the wii....but it mentioned nothing of its horsepower. could be similar here, where specs could be about the controller, the built in wireless, the new OS GUI, online systems and such like rather than nuts and bolts stuff. hopefully they dish it all out but, as with anything ninty, expect nothing (hell they may not even turn up :P j/k). they havent given a complete spec of the 3DS either. but i think your right...very much a 3DS type of reveal.

Where did you find the "official" Nintendo specs? I haven't seen anytihng other than the supposedly leaked specs, that's already been posted here.

Lets get back on topic folks! Who here believes that Nintendo will actually tell us the systems real name at E3?

Gamingclone

I sure do, from what I've been hearing the most potential names are Nintendo "Stream" and Nintendo "Feel". Personally I'm hoping for Stream, but it may very well be something else.

DOnt forget

Microsoft also sell cpu and stuff

Sony also sells music tv and all these stuff

Lets think outside of the gaming industry and you can tell they make so much more money then selling consoles.

Nintendo only sells games :(

iAmAbel

Alright sorry for this last comment about this being off-topic, but the part about them only selling games is untrue. They actually sell cards too, let's not forget Nintendo has been around for well over a hundred years. http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/cards/cards_index.jsp

Just a bit of info from the Nintendo homesite, if you need more info, just ask me.

Back on the Subject of E3

I have been hearing news of a new F-ZERO coming to the 3DS, I hope for this, but more than that I hope it comes to the next Nintendo console, and I'm curious about the next Pokemon game.

so far the sony/Ms fans are all saying this console will fail. lots of analysts calling this nintendo's last gen. WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

even the latest glitchspot...erm gamespot "hotspot podcast" was dissing the wii and its sequal.

locopatho

Amazing how stupid the Wii haters can seem isn't it? If any company might leave gaming, I'm calling it and saying Sony. Just from 2009 they lost over 890 million dollars in the gaming industry, and I personally think the NGP will bury them in the ground. PS No offense to any Sony fans here.

I don't see any of the 3 leaving, they are all massively established at this point.

Not saying any of them are leaving yet, but if any of them will leave I still say Sony has the best chance of leaving, considering just how much they've lost in the gaming market in 2009 alone.

you can if you have the Wii homebrew channel but i wouldn't think it's worth it. Also geek squad can apparently modify your wii to play dvds.FPS1337

Uhh since when did Geek Squad start doing this? Nintendo does not take lightly to people who tamper with their product... I know people don't like it, but it's Nintendo's product after all. Nintendo would've heard of the Geek Squad ideal and most likely would've gone to sue them wouldn't they?

This could happen, and yes I know I am over a year late, big whoop. Anyway, I've already done research on this, it's actually looking more and more likely in my opinion, for those wondering what happens to the USB oriented gizmos for the Wii, like Wii speak: on a few sites, they state if this does happen, it will definitely have USB ports installed in the device taking up the only two USB ports in the back of the Wii. Happy? v.v

Ok first off, before I start rambling on about Nintendo's products being practically ripped off by Microsoft, lemme say this: Mario Party games were the **** bomb. But the Wii ones kinda killed it for me.
