We dont get these in the UK. But I can see their merit.
I dont get the dog argument though. Surely they are just a tool to stop those people who intend to commit a crime? No different than a metal detector at an airport, or a speed gun. If a sniffer dog sniffed out drugs on a guy who was going to sell them to kids at a school where your kids where, I bet you would be glad.
I personally think the issue is not with the tools the cops use (Dogs, Checkpoints, searches etc) more with the lack of consistency in sentences. If you get caught with one joint then hey, thats all good get a slap on the wrist. Get caught with several Kilos of smack, then a harder sentence should be dished out.
Agree with the above. Very British humour but good. I have read them all (been a fan for years) and I love them. Must be said that some of thenewer ones have a tendancy to be a wee bit disjointed, but I guess this is due to the Authors medical condition.
