the battery life is a bit disappointing if its only 5 or so hours with no 3D effect... I usually keep brightness at full or near full just to keep my eye strain low... Essian

Rap is more about lyrics than it is about beats. If you listen to real Hip Hop, its about the lyrics. Rap is just a form of poetry. And I believe that the main reason why "most rappers" that you know of don't play instruments is because they grew up in the streets or had hard times. They didn't have the luxury of being able to learn/practice an instrument or be taught how to play one or purchase one or etc. You pretty much used what you had and they had their mind, their lips, and their environment. You use your mind and lips to create the words and phrases you wanted to express and your lips and environment to make the sounds of the beats. I believe that the beauty of rap is that its raw and to the point. Once again this isn't true for EVERYBODY it is just what I believe.

It's called, Learn to play an instrument and Learn to sing. Not just rhyme words together while an accomplished artist's song plays in the background. Considering that 'Rapping' is up there with singing, scatting and chanting as a musical vocal style, there's no nead to 'Learn to Sing' since maintaining flow, cadence, melody, etc. requires talent. Plus 'sampling' is in no way stealing (at least not nearly as much as covering a song) and requires talent. Oh, and I love how you insult every singer/songwriter ever (not just rappers) by making the assertion that 'anyone' can just rhyme words and paint a picture with them.
