And here I am. Still gaming on GTX 680 while people debate if they should update their 980 or not. And I am someone who once upgraded his PC every year. But it was always based on the fact that new games started to loose frames in a big way. But in recent years I dont feel it. I was sure I will upgrade back in 2015 but all games were good with their performance. I was sure I will get a new PC in 2016, but then again, all games played smooth. I was 99% certain that I will buy a Pascal based system, but AGAIN... all games released in 2017 are working with at least 40 FPS in 1080p and high details on. Yes, I can notice the difference between 40 FPS and 60 FPS, but it is not worth spending 2000 USD on a new desktop. I almost wish that game developers gave me a reason to finally upgrade my rig, but so far nothing like that happened. My PC is built in 2012 (was a high-end back then) and it still handles all AAA games pretty well. Makes me wonder what those people changing their 980s really want aside from wanking over 150 FPS which they cant even see with some obscure details turned on which they cant even notice without looking at their monitors with a magnifying glass.
