No, and it's rather unfortunate that the sandbox style is mostly applied to games involving subjects like these.

Ubisoft just slipped the PC version of Splinter Cell: Conviction from April 16 to April 30.
The 360 version remains unaffected at April 16.
The news comes after another turbulent day for Ubi's PC games, with Assassin's Creed II and Silent Hunter V being removed from Steam in the UK as the result of a " Business Discussion " between the publisher and Valve.
Ubisoft has been well-reported recently in relation to DRM on its PC titles, which now need a constant internet connection to be played. EA decided to follow the model this week with C&C4.

They might as well chain themselves to some heavy rocks and jump into the river.
well there is no working crack as of the moment that works properly, so of course the only way to play is to buy the game and go through with the DRM process. I myself am thinking o fthat but the problem is I don't want to support a ridiculous DRM method.[QUOTE="Suffca"]
Wait, someone here actually bought the game? Even with that ridiculous drm?

If enough people buy this game with the current drm method, then that will sanction Ubisoft to continue and it will set a bad precedent for the industry as other companies think of implementing similar methods.
In my opinion, even the original game is not fully playable, due to the constant checks.[QUOTE="Atombomb1981"]
[QUOTE="gamerguy845"]Good for them, I hope Ubisoft removes this disgrace of "piracy protection". It doesn't matter to me though, I will never pay $60 for a PC game.iwilson1296
I totally agree. They are protecting their product and we are the ones, that are supposed to pay for that. The main reasons for pirating a game, in my opinion, are the "Price", "Copy protection" and "Quality" of the title (Lower quality increases piracy). And, sometimes price is usually affected by the copy protection used. I appreciate the time and effort put by Ubisoft in their games, but a lower price and a simple disc check or no protection at all (like in Prince Of Persia) would have been a better approach. It feels like they are trying to find an excuse to release titles exclusive for consoles, which basically resumes to PS3, since XBOX and PSP titles are also pirated. They were wrong when they released titles like Cold Fear and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory for PC and in later Re-releases they removed the copy protection completely. I hope this will be the case for Assassin's Creed 2, because the sales for the PC version will sink.
there's a version of chaos theory without starforce? The version that came with the Splinter Cell Trilogy has no protection at all. I got this version. The other two titles have a simple disc protection.

60$ to rent a PC game. Didn't UBISOFT learned their lesson with Cold Fear and the magnificent STARFORCE? Hope the sales for the PC version will sink...
I recently purchased the Bioshock on Steam this holiday, but I didn't see anything about being able to download the DLC with the extra plasmids. Does this come automatically with it?
Morphic
Actually there's a patch 1.1 for the game which contains the extra plasmids and it's free. You can get it from the official site http://www.2kgames.com/bioshock/support/
The release date is 5 Mar 2010 in Europe. The Elite graphics (which as you know, were only included in the Collector's Edition), is an extra 7.28GB DVD and I doubt there are patches that include those.
