[QUOTE="raven_squad"]I honestly wouldn't take a copy of this game if they were handing it out for free. raven_squad

yea, ok:roll:

Only reason I would take it is to sell, which I couldnt very well do if they were handing it out for free. So no, I wouldnt want that game polluting my collection.

You can also give it as a birthday present to a friend and save yourself some money.,.I never say no to free stuff, free = good, paying = bad, but somethings worth it =p

I know it wasn't exactly complex or original, but the button mashing crawling part of mgs4 at the end...

As a long time fan of the series, it felt really emotional and potent. Great gameplay.

DAAVV-O
Same here...that and maybe the final boss fight at Heavenly Sword.

Hey guys i just wanted to ask which is better to buy, the retail mass effect from store or off steam? im consedring steam since i know it updates the game automatically and honestly i don't want to search for hours for the patch, so steam does it for me! i think it does? does it?, anyhows i don't know that if i get it off steam it will get me the DLC for mass effect so that's another question... so guys please answer my questions and tell me where to buy it from? Steam or Retail?Ownsin
It does update it auto-matically. Don't know for mods and dlc on that game, but on others, had some trouble at first with Steam. as for updates, well ME is kinda old, no new updates are expected and you can get all patches here and at fileplanet. Get the retail, I like to have the manual and box aswell =p

[QUOTE="Jamiemydearx3"]I plan on upgrading to a Q9550 when you actually need a Quad Core. You should buy a cheaper Core 2 Duo now, and in a a year or so buy the Q9550.Jamiemydearx3

Or he could just stick with the single core and upgrade to a dual core when you actually need a dual core. Oh lol.

You need a quad core now or you wouldn't have overclocked your dual core to 4.2GHz to try to keep up.

What? Dual Core > Quad Core. For most games. I overclocked my e8400 just because I enjoy free performence. Same reason why most other people overclock their CPUs. :|

Agree. Quad cores are a waste of money now, we won't see quad-core optimize games until maybe end of this year if we are lucky. GTA-IV is a poorly optimized port, that if someone wants it, get a console for it. It is not a PC game as it is now. Since Crytek engine and Unreal 3 engine(most popular engine out there atm imo), don't really use quads and we won't see a new massive game engine for a while(by saying massive, I mean an engine that many games use, such as the U3 engine), dual cores all the way. OCing a dual core, just gives you free perfomance. On stock speeds E8500 and E8400 > quad on most games. And as for the multi-tasking: I burn dvd, listen to music(itunes), serf on the next, have steam, xfire, msn, google chat, aero engine and etc running all the time. No worries so far. Multi-tasking with a quad, is if you do like 2 video encoding at the same time and etc. No need for that. Dual cores aren't trying to keep up with quads, quads are trying to keep up with dual cores, when it comes to gaming performance, price and value over money.

Alright I'll go with ram first then maybe GPU. Thanks everyone.orrytur
Vista needs at least 2GB, especially if you got Aeron engine running. It may be cool, but kills your gaming. Disable it, disable UAC(won't improve performance, but UAC is a pain in the neck) and add at least another gb ram(if you put 4Gb btw, Vista 32bit will only recognize the 3,2GB but still worth it) . Then go for an ATI HD 4850. This way you stay on budget and your pc is like a new one on gaming. For AoE III ram and vista is the major problem and then the gpu.

So can youoffer ur self a E8400 ? + P45 ? Or not cause if you don't overclock it really recommend to go with at last a 150-169$ Worth cpu : A E8400 It Awsome for money value Also If you seek overclock you need a mobo that is easy for you to do it like The Great P45 UD3R/P + A Heatsink to cool that stuff
such as Thermalright 120 extreme / Xigamtek S1283 / Coolermaster V8 marcthpro
Agree with the March. Get UD3R, this will save you some cash from the other model and get E8400 or even E8500 if you don't know how to OC yet. The Asus is more "User Friendly" when it comes to BIOS in my opinion, but Gigabyte hands down. I built a new pc with E8500, Ga-Ep45-UD3R and V8 for a friend, it rocked! Great perfomance for their money and hell good overclocking rig. I even ordered on for myself.

Yeah but what about for just Internet browsing, multitasking and older games.GTA_MGS_1
Still no! Instead of a fancy looking HP, get a Toshiba or an Acer, for me they are more value for their money. Get one with 2,2 Ghz Cpu at least and if you can with a bigger HDD or just get an external HDD as well. Built in Cam comes handy on internet VoIP and IM chats. Multitasking such as?

http://www.dabs.ie/productview.aspx?quicklinx=4QSN&CategorySelectedId=11258&PageMode=1&aQuicklinx=554N&InMerch=1 or http://www.dabs.ie/productview.aspx?quicklinx=554N&CategorySelectedId=11258&PageMode=1&aQuicklinx=4QSN&InMerch=1 or if you got money get: http://www.dabs.ie/productview.aspx?quicklinx=55PZ&CategorySelectedId=11258&PageMode=1&aQuicklinx=554N&InMerch=1 Personally I would go with the first one. It is a "legacy" cooler, kinda old in other words but performed and still perform great and it's price is a 10 for value/money. The last one is the best choice on that site if you want to OC. Still I think E8400(or E8500) is better choice than Q6600. I think Pixmania.co.uk got an Irish subsite but not sure.

another question:

the cm690 is apparently sli compatible. does this mean crossfire wont work? although i dont see how this could be the case (excuse the pun)

jpph
It just mean that Coolermaster paid nVidia to put that label there. It won't effect CF. Answer my questions on my previous post please =p

[QUOTE="Athonline"]Can you please post me a link of the page you are going to place the order? =)jpph

well, i actually dont know how to post a link:oops:

its from www.dabs.ie. and mind you put in the www, for some reason it doesnt work without it.

btw, i dont know if my current pc has a sound card. how do i check? its a crappy prebuilt, so i spose the sound isnt as good as a sound card. does a good sound card make a difference? i wouldnt be able to go over 30 euro for it.

Will look for parts on it for you. pixmania.co.uk and overclockers.co.uk are also good eu sites. Does all parts have to be from this site? As for sound card, the motherboard has a built-in. For me it doesn't really worth but if you want for 30 euros you may get a really nice one(maybe an X-Fi of creative).
