i know but some people are that way they rather feel comfortable to have paid 3,000$ for a rig that cost 1,500$ with 1-3 Year Warranty then the same said rig with 5-7 Year of Warranty Provided by Manufacturer for there Premium Product Like Platinum Rated PSU at 94% EFF  if they need the best

it a lost cause i doubt we can learn this Young Man the power of a Sales Clerk at a Local Computer Store or or Store Like Microcenter Which Assemble ur PC For Peanut and even give you advice how to overclock  :?

Well actually this "young" man isn't young...:) I just have too much work involving my computer to A) have it go down for any extended period of time. B) want to be able to play a game and not dick around with his machine. I am not lazy just time restricted. But you know you guys all make good cases for me to go the build it myself or atleast get a person to build it for me. My experience with part Warranties has been that they tend to be crappy companies in many cases for support so again revisit point A. ;)

Markup is way way to high. You can buy better quality/brand parts and pay a computer store $200-300 to assemble it and save a ton over money over those companies you listed (I wouldn't be suprised if that saved you a thousand dollars all while getting better named parts).

Thanks for the reply. Yea I live in the sticks and cant get to any reputable places or I would. My concern is making sure I get parts that are compatible and don't blow each other away. I could build it myself or get someone to do it but making sure the parts work...that is the headache I would be willing to pay SOME money to avoid. ;)Someone recommended going to TigerDirect and starting there with a mobo/case combo and go from there...know of any better places?

I am in need of a new desktop (dont want a laptop as the last box I had which I am giving to my son for college cooked my hands playing games). I have been looking at Alienware because I get a discount with them and I have speced out an Aurora at $3153 (discounted) with 16 Gig of RAM, 512SSD/1TB drive, BluRay, and an Nvidia GTX690 with a four core i7 with the ALX case.

I went to CyberpowerPC and scoped out a BlackPearl machine for $20 more, that has a 6 Core i7 Sandybridge (same as Alienware), 16 Gig of 2133 RAM, 480 SSD/1TB drive, AMD 7990 card, and a BluRay. I got a case that does not look too crazy and has liquid cooling.

But which way should I go. I got burned in the past on a custom built box. I dont have time as a fulltime plus side consulting developer to build my own. Alienware gives your standard 1 year warranty but CyberpowerPC gives 3 and life time tech support. But again, I am scared of getting a lemon. Last time I had to threaten legal action as the vendor stupidly put a case and mobo combination that were not compatible. That got me a new box built that still works to this day 10 years later. Should I go with Alienware and have a slightly reduced functionality and have that in the back of my head for a few years that I could have had more... :) OR go with the risk and double down on CyberPowerPC.

I have looked at other vendors such as Origin and Falcon Northwest...all too much. Thoughts?
