I want to buy this game monday for my xbox 360 cus i heard some good thing about it. But do i need to played 1 first to folow it's storyline, or can i just walk into 2 without having played 1? Glad to hear, thanx!

that gpu really is lame. my laptop has a 8200m and i was kinda able to play supcom witha decent framerate with everything on low UNTIL the enemy came on screen, then it died in the butt. same with Half life 2, was bearly playable until the action started and became unplayable. better off to sell the laptop for a few hundred and save for a newer one!

It's based on the 9400GT dekstkop edition, that should be enough to play that game i think..

Not necessarily. Could you give complete system specs although I'm pretty sure it's your graphics

My guess would be that your CPU simply isn't good enough.

ZimpanX

That sucks . Are there any tweaks out there to fix this :/

I just installed Dragon Age Origins , but my laptop slows the FPS down is they are many 'enemies' on the screen I get only @ 10-15fps / and so the game is unplayable. Normally I get the 30-19frames per second if nothing happens in the game (only walking). I have installed the patch 1.0.2 so it might improve some FPS but its stil damn slow. I also see that this game eats 99% of my CPU, even when I sit in pause mode.
Is it my laptop that's not powerfull enough to handel it? Because CanYouRunIt says it more than enough :(?
I've put everything on low @ 800x600, does not help ...
Does anyone know how I can fix it? Thanks:). Because i dont really want to mist this one ;)

Ok so i plan on ordering a computer on christmas eve or christmas when i get paid. I am thinking a HP Pavilion Elite e9280t. This is how i customized it...

Processor:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-920 processor [2.66GHz, 1MB L2 + 8MB shared L3 cache]

RAM:

8GB DDR3-1066MHz SDRAM [4 DIMMs]

Hard Drive

Either a 1TB RAID 0 or a 750GB 7200 RPM SATA

Graphics Card:

1GB ATI Radeon 4850 HD or a nVidia 1.8 GB 260 GTX

I know like 8GB is better than 7 and under but is there a big difference between 8 and 9 GB? Also will I actually even need 1TB of space or the extra performance boost RAID 0 gives? Also what is the difference in performance of the 2 graphics cards? thanks in advance. I know this is alot to ask. the whole computer comes to about $1590. if you can suggest a better one for this go right ahead. :)

I'l found a cheaper pc from medion .

IntelĀ® Core i7 processor I7-920

  • Speed: 2,66 GHz
  • Front Side Bus (FSB): 4.8 GT/s
  • L3 Cache: 8 MB

ATI Radeon HD 4850

3 GB DDR3 intern geheugen

1000 GB (1 TB) hard disk

windows vista home premium sp1

Almost , this pc is the same as yours and much cheaper ;) . not a big presition difference , only the ram if i'm right ? And you can always add more , almost 4GB is enough for gaming
