Just a quick question. I got the E74 error yesterday and sent in my console. Will MS fix my console and send it back or will I get a shiny new one with (hopefully) less chance of frying on me in the future?

If money is no object, go with a good plasma TV that displays in 1080i. One of the new ones that refresh at 120hz would probably be the best you can get. Get as big as you can reasonably fit in your viewing area. For the rest of us, a good Rear projection DLP will work as well. I have a Sony 64"DLP that I bought last year, it's frickin awesome for movies and games. I'll have to replace the bulb every few years but it's worth it to me than to spend an extra 2 grand for a plasma. Really any HD TV is going to be fine, so get the best you can afford. www.avsforum.com is a great site for all things audio and visual.

I don't care for platformers personally, but after recently picking up Assassin's Creed I realized it's more of a platform game than a stealthy assassination game such as tenchu or even splinter cell games. However, I am really really enjoying the platforming aspect of t he game, it's just so fluid and responsive. So for a person who doesn't like platforming games much, AC is really rocking my world.

I had one of the phantasy stars, I think it was 3. It was odd because you would choose a girl for your main character to marry and then you would kind of start again with their son, and it happened twice! you end up beating the game with the great grandson of the person you start it with. Crazy stuff, but a solid RPG for the time. Shining in the darkness was another strong dungeon crawler/RPG, first person perspective was a little different but it was good. Then shining force and shining force 2, the sequels, went into entirely different directions and were really early incarnations of the turn based strategy RPG games. Holy crap there's a lot to play on that disk. I haven't played all of them but a lot of those games I grew up with before we had the SNES. Wow I'm excited! Gotta pick this up as soon as possible.

Hell even the ecco games were different but good, fluid interesting controls, way innovative for its time. I never owned one of the eccos but I rented it... alright I'm sold. There's nothing on the 360 horizon that I'm even waiting for at this point anyway.

Damn!!! I've been sitting on some best buy cards waiting for a good game to come out and I feel like I pretty much have to buy this! It's got just about all my favorite Genesis games on it, Phantasy stars, shining force, even shining in the darkness and unlockable arcade classics.... wow what a deal! Holy Crap even kid chameleon!! That one was sooo difficult, I rented it 2 or 3 times as a kid and never got very far into it but I loved it!

Jezum Crow I have to buy this!

Whoa.... where can I get a list of games included on this collection? I loved the genesis back in the day, streets of rage was an old favorite. Which shining forces games are included? I loved those!

Bioshock COD4 (single player campaign was great) Orange Box (though the source engine gives me headaches and makes me slightly nauseated at times) Fallout 3 Still waiting for a great RPG to hit the 360, Fable 2 was horrible and all the others just get such mixed reviews...

I know that's an issue for me with COD4 although it's a minor one. I wonder if it's a framerate issue. Having 4 screens going instead of 1.
