lol at releasing that trash in the same year as the one and only, GTAV...

Omega-316

I had more fun with Saints 3 than any GTA game, or Rockstar game this gen. It was off the walls craziness. It didn't take itself seriously. Jumping out of planes and having a war in the sky, flying jets and blowing **** up, facing a zombie invasion, getting in a wrestling ring and using a chainsaw and ripping enemies apart? Yep.

The gunplay, and gameplay in general feels better and is more fluid than any GTA game ever made.

sigh*

all I keep hearing from MS is halo halo halo

I wouldnt mind supporting the next MS console if they made new IPs. Since they always keep putting out Halo I guess I'll rather keep supporting sony. Unless they put a "casual" vibe that is

Vatusus
Lol wat. This... is a new IP? It's a shooter, and the developers want it to be as big as Halo.

Hey guys, I wanted to preorder the game and was planning on getting it through Amazon.

However, I don't see any preorder bonus on the site? I know the first post details the bonuses/etc. However, are these "bonus DLC" unlockable in game? Or will I never be able to get the Monkey Business and Lost Expedition Missions by ordering the game through Amazon?

Honestly its crazy how people say such different things. "Halo 4 sucks. Nothings changed since Halo 1 and 2!"

"Halo 4 sucks, they basically copied Call of Duty. It's terrible now."

Edit: PAL360, I have no idea how you didn't like Halo ODST. It had some great levels, and amazing atmosphere.

[QUOTE="The_Game21x"]

[QUOTE="AmazonTreeBoa"] Wait what? GTA4 is better on PS3, so I don't follow what you are saying.AmazonTreeBoa

No it's not.

Lower resolution, lower average framerate, blurrier image.

Sorry, but yes it is. This was a big thing when GTA4 first released. Score reflect this as well. Jump on gamerankings and tell me which version has the higher score. There is a reason for that you know.....well no I guess you don't know seeing you are still in denial over it.

Lol. Look at Gamerankings. Xbox 360 has 83 reviews. PS3 has 60. Thats why Xbox is a point lower. Because the extra reviews factored in.

As for graphics/performance. PC > 360 > PS3. Are you really using sites like Lens of truth over digital foundry :?, whatever it takes for ownage I guess...

DF

After almost two thousands words of technical discussion, the bottom line is that it's clear that Rockstar had some issues matching the basic performance of the Xbox 360 game on the PS3 hardware. Lower resolution, zero anti-aliasing support and a more variable frame-rate are the bottom line.

On the one hand, it's a touch disappointing that Rockstar's USD 100 million budget couldn't extend to optimising the experience to match Xbox 360, especially when you look at a game like Burnout Paradise that doesn't require a mandatory installation, has a basically rock solid frame-rate, and is technically identical cross-platform.

That said, it's patently clear that Rockstar hasn't handed in a lazy conversion here. Creative decisions have been made to compensate for the technical limitations, and by and large they really work, to the point where you sometimes wonder why they couldn't have been applied to the Xbox 360 version too. PS3 GTA IV looks absolutely fantastic, and even factoring in zero anti-aliasing support and a lower resolution, in many scenarios it looks as good as the 360 version, if not better.

I've not addressed the freezing issue being reported on the game, of course. I'll have to leave that to the people affected as - try as I might to coax the code to fall over and die horribly - GTA IV behaved impeccably for me on both systems. But the chances are that by the time you read, a PS3 patch will be out and about that should sort out those who've been affected. A 360 update after that, please, complete with a tweakable option to use the PS3 post-processing modes. Now that would be interesting.

Overall performance on 360 is better. But PS3 still looks good, and at times better.
