two dvd's does not a blu-ray disc make. sorry, but a 360 port would either have to be horrendously compressed to fit onto two/three dvd's or be roughly five DVD's at current compression rates.

As far as those arguing for multiplat, I don't think it would work as well - I know I wouldn't be willing to trade MGS4 for Halo 3 (if I were Sony). The people who are willing to buy Halo 3 already have, opening exclusivity wouldn't alter that.

"but there just happens to be a very vocal minority of haters". Not true. the minority is the hardcore fanboys who won't listen to any "flaws" of the game. I personally enjoyed the Halo series, but I still think that it is overrated. The first game was amazing and made a giant leap forward for first person shooters (not the first time Bungie accomplished such a task [marathon]). But I feel that the second and third halo didn't expand in the proper direction. One of the elements that made the first so special was the single player campaign and the depth to the story. The second two seemed to gloss over this depth in a sixteen year old shallow summer blockbuster sort of way, instead focusing on multiplayer. Yes, the multiplayer is good, but if it weren't for the connection to the universe and the characters established in the first game, no one would be as rabid in defending the title. And no matter how many people own and love the game, the majority of the world does not own it and does not care to - now they may not be as vocal about their dislike of the game, or they may not understand it, but the minority is still hardcore halo fans.

System wars aside, VC is a game that people should be buying a PS3 to experience.

Considering it's a PS3 exclusive, I can't see gamespot giving it higher than an 8.5. If it were a 360 exclusive they'd give it a 9.2.

Prototype is being developed by a studio who has made a lot of games - but none of which were any good. There are elements of Prototype that are really intriguing, but as of now - Infamous has my vote.

Mine is "Rather be PS3"

and your initial reaction is why it works so well. Distract the enemy, blind them with rage.

Your nostalgia must be clouding your judgment. The original MGS had horrendous controls (comparitively). I too was about 14 when MGS was released, I think I have to agree with the majority of people on here in saying that it's your opinion, but I think you're terribly wrong. The original MGS didn't have an auto-save either, not having an auto-save forces you to interact with the ingame mechanices, technology and characters. The series has had the first person mode since MGS2 and has been fine-tuned to near perfection. I don't mean to come across belittling, if in fact I am, but You really need to give it more of a shot. The game is amazing.
