As I progressed through Beyond: Two Souls, I couldn't help but remember an article I read a few years ago written by Roger Ebert where he resolutely stated, "...no video gamer now living will survive long enough to exper... Read Full Review1 of 1 users found the following review helpful
This is going to be a short review because there's next to nothing to write. Anyone who's been into RTS for long enough knows about AoE. AoE II was arguably the best of the series and I enjoyed it a lot more than I did... Read Full Review5 of 8 users found the following review helpful
It's easy to write a review of this game, because there's really not much to it. Recipe is: -2-button hack and slash (almost literally) -Linear Dungeon Crawl -Half-assed shooter Combine all three into an uni... Read Full Review5 of 13 users found the following review helpful
I'll keep this review short because there's really not a lot to get into with this game. It's developed by Ninja Theory, developers of Heavenly Sword (which I loved). I thought I'd take a stab at this and expected the ... Read Full Review2 of 3 users found the following review helpful
After Empire and Napoleon I thought SEGA and CA would have made efforts to improve their image. They did not.
I'm ashamed that I bought this game really. After the amazing Medieval Total War I and II as well as Rome, CA and SEGA released Empire, which was one of the most unpolished, buggy and broken games I've bought in ages. ... Read Full Review26 of 138 users found the following review helpful
Let me start by saying, as I've said before, Bioware used to be one of my favourite studios. I LOVED Baldur's Gate. I LOVED KoToR. Mass Effect 1 was probably the best PC RPG I've ever played. I've mentioned it before... Read Full Review11 of 13 users found the following review helpful
When Dawn of War II came out, I had mixed reactions to it. I thought the single player campaign was dreadfully inane, but for to some extent the multiplayer made up for it. I enjoyed the multiplayer a fair bit when it ... Read Full Review8 of 12 users found the following review helpful
A good looking game with an interesting concept, but poorly designed and boring gameplay make it a chore to bother with.
I saw the reviews for this game and stayed clear of it when it came out. They spoke of frustrating bugs and a lack of polish. The version I bought was apparently "remastered" which I thought might mean that the bugs wo... Read Full Review7 of 22 users found the following review helpful
Frustrating performance issues and slowdowns, bad AI and stripped-down gameplay take away from the experience.
Since Civilization 2 I've been a fanatic for this franchise. No game has ever compared to the depth and scale of Civilization and this is why there's never really been a period longer than 3-4 months where I haven't pla... Read Full Review6 of 8 users found the following review helpful
I've never been so pumped about a strategy game on release. I even stopped playing SC2 to get into this game. The beta was SO much fun to play and the combat is about as realistic as has ever been attempted on this gra... Read Full Review2 of 4 users found the following review helpful
This is the first BF game I've ever played and I must say I was impressed from the start. The graphics are pretty good (not Crysis or KZ3 graphics but pretty damn good) and the controls are fluid and easy. The single... Read Full Review1 of 2 users found the following review helpful
I don't have much of a review to write for this game. It's fairly simple to sum up quickly because it's such a derivative of current Asian MMO's that little description is necessary. This is an absolute grind-fest and ... Read Full Review3 of 6 users found the following review helpful
This game is everything it's cracked up to be. Describing it as a mix between Little Big Planet and Mario Kart is fair, but there's so much more to it than that. It's fun in every way that Mario Kart is, but at the sam... Read Full Review0 of 1 users found the following review helpful
Don't believe the Halo/CoD hacks or most of the critic reviews. This is the best MP shooter out there right now!
I've played every big shooter out there over the last 10-15 years. I'm a shooter fan and I always have been and my favorite part of shooter games is the multiplayer. Probably my favorite multiplayer shooters up until n... Read Full Review5 of 9 users found the following review helpful
I've already written a DoW2 review so I'll keep this one short. Chaos Rising was an improvement. The single player campaign is more scripted and interesting. There's less repetition and more interesting choices to ... Read Full Review0 of 1 users found the following review helpful
Guys let's be honest...It's the same broken game as before. Very little has been improved. Honest review:
Empire:Total War was a fundamentally flawed game from the beginning. The graphics were nice, the time period was exciting (in my opinion) and the addition of naval combat a great idea. The battles were fun when they wo... Read Full Review26 of 54 users found the following review helpful
There's a charm to Darksiders that I can't quite pin down. Describing it as a Zelda/GoW hybrid is fair I think. Most hybrid games, however, are usually pretty bad. When you try to do too many things at once you normal... Read Full Review2 of 3 users found the following review helpful
I'll start my review by saying I really wanted to like this game. With it being an RPG, a PS3 exclusive, and seeing all the rave reviews, I thought I'd love it. Unfortunately, I found it to be one of the most bland... Read Full Review21 of 58 users found the following review helpful
When I look back at this game, I think the main thing it had going against it was that it was released AFTER FFVII. Most of the criticisms of the game were that it borrowed a lot from FFVII and the characters were fairl... Read Full Review2 of 4 users found the following review helpful
Boring story and irritating/unlikable characters kill any sort of enjoyment I might have experienced.
I'm tired of Square. I don't think there are many developers out there who've gone as stale as they have. FFVI, FFVII and FFIX, along with Chrono Trigger/Cross were some of my favorite RPG's ever. Since then, their re... Read Full Review9 of 21 users found the following review helpful
As far as action RPG's are concerned, this was one of the most exciting and beautiful games I've ever played. The graphics were stunning. No game out there right now, whether Assassin's Creed, Crysis, Killzone 2 or any... Read Full Review0 of 1 users found the following review helpful

A decent third person shooter, but a mediocre RPG. Where's the story??? An honest review from a huge BioWare fan.
Let me start by saying, once again, that BioWare has usually been one of my favorite developers. KoToR, BG2, ME1 etc were all some of my favorite games ever. In fact, ME1 was probably my favorite RPG of all time. The ... Read Full Review24 of 37 users found the following review helpful
I've loved almost every Bioware game that's ever come out. KoToR, BG and ME were all probably the best RPG's I've ever played. What made them great was their amazing plots and stories and the believable characters. Th... Read Full Review4 of 6 users found the following review helpful
I've always 'liked' Call of Duty. The single player is usually fun and I've generally enjoyed the games. MW1 was the high point for me but WaW was not nearly as fun. MW2 is a 'good' game, but by no means whatsoever is... Read Full Review5 of 11 users found the following review helpful

Resistance 2 is about as conventional as shooters come. Other games do everything Resistance 2 does, and often better.
Resistance 2 is a reasonably fun game. I can't say it's boring, but it's certainly not as exciting or interesting as its predecessor. It seems as though the developers took everything that made Resistance Fall of Man f... Read Full Review9 of 12 users found the following review helpful

It's a Halo 3 expansion pack, priced as if it's a brand new game. Sadly it isn't. I've played this before...three times
It doesn't take much for IGN and Gamespot to give a game a 90 these days. Let's face it: Halo 3 even wasn't that good. It didn't deserve a 90. This is a Halo 3 expansion with barely any new features, none of which are... Read Full Review29 of 55 users found the following review helpful

This is not a game. It's a convoluted Japanese storytelling circle-jerk.<br /> Clichés are heaped upon cliché.
If I were to sum MGS4 up in a couple of words, I'd say "Boring gameplay." Make no mistake. This is not a game that will keep you entertained for gameplay's sake alone. You need to be extremely interested in the st... Read Full Review9 of 59 users found the following review helpful
