10: Pokemon X and Y

Platform: Nintendo 3DS

Release Date: 12th October 2013 (World Wide)

Aside from the tank controls, Pokemon X and Y rebuilds the Pokemon Franchise with a list of new features like Breeding Pokemon to build stronger bonds, Sky battles in which any Pokemon with Levitate can enter against flying Pokemon, Horde Encounters where one of your Pokemon takes on 5 Pokemon which is amazingly epic, play customizations and Mega Evolutions. This is one of the Best games in the Pokemon Series by far and they really gave Pikachu some extra treatment.

9: Tomb Raider

Platform: XBox 360/PlayStation 3/PC

Genre: Action & Adventure

Developer: Crystal Dynamics

Crystal Dynamics revived the Tomb Raider and our old heroine looks really dirty and darker then her original. This new game went for a more survival roots which was very refreshing for the series, a lot of her old moves are retained and the exploration of the game was well fluid. There's some good Multiplayer action included too which helps make this game a well done reboot.

8: BioShock: Infinite

Putting the controversy aside BioShock: Infinite has various abilities as well as gunplay and Elizabeth's power that's needed to escape from Columbia. Nothing is safe in there I can say. BioShock Infinite is one super sweet game in the series thanks to the amazing graphics, impressive story and characters and fantastic gameplay that has kept true to the BioShock series.

7: Gone Home

Platform: PC

Genre: Adventure, Interactive Fiction

Developer: The Fullbright Company

Gone Home has got a really engrossing story going for it. It's a game where you as Kaitlin Greenbriar explores her home to find out where her parents have gone. If you're looking for a nice Indie Adventure to play then you're lucky not to leave home to find this online.

Battlefield 4 follows from the gameplay elements from it's predecessor. The Multiplayer was great in all but some people felt that the Single Player was only brief and also they were a few bugs in the game. It was indeed rushed and a patch is needed to correct of the issues with it but Battlefield 4 was still amazing in the eyes of gamers, it's also another game that suffers from the Call of Duty syndrome.

Release Date: 22nd November 2013 (North America & Europe), 23rd November 2013 (Australia), 26th December 2013 (Japan)

A Link Between Worlds is one of most impressive Zelda games on the handhelds. The puzzles are clever with Link's arsenal returning as well as all the areas from A Link to the Past. There are new features like Link entering walls to become a drawing allowing him to access new areas. I find it unusual that Nintendo would develop a sequel to a Zelda that was on the 16 bit Super Nintendo.
