You'll be able to play as a female character on GTA online, what the f is the big problem? They didn't want to have female protagonists in the main single-player story, that's devs choice.

Some people just don't give crap about PCs or gaming on PCs and only game on consoles (in fact more people on consoles than on PC) so they do want to know these facts. And if you're sick of listening to these stuff then ignore it, i mean problem solved for you.
