Level 32, A New Emblem & Endless Waffling!

I am now officially a 'Snake Eater', No I'm not Bear Grylls! ...

Level 32 - Snake Eater - The subtitle to the third game in the Metal Gear Series.

I have only just noticed that I've gone up levels actually, and upon noticing this level change I also stumbeled across a new emblem glaring me in the face ... 'Xbox 360 Aficionado', which I imagine is for owning a certain amount of 360 games?, maybe one of you will know. I have not stepped foot inside the Emblems Union in months.

I don't have much more to say to be honest. On the gaming side of my life. I recently purchased Splinter Cell: Conviction on a mad urge, which by the way is the first Splinter Cell game I have ever brought and played through , Battlefield: Bad Company 1 & 2 I finally brought and Brutal Legend also ... Rockin'

However, its actually been Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 that has me hooked right now, which is strange I thought I was done with it, but it just keeps dragging me back in.

I don't know if any of you added me on Xbox, but those who have may notice that my Gamerscore now sits at ... 32882 :)

Oh I have also discovered the TV program Celebrity Juice, I always thought it was mindless crap. However I actually sat down and watched it a few weeks ago and now I'm hooked, I think its partly because I'm madly in love with Fearne Cotton, but Keith Lemon is just so funny. Check it out if your free tonight ... 22:00 (UK time) on ITV2, guaranteed to get a laugh out of you.

I think thats about it, Look out for my usual Formula 1 threads in the UK board, and posting in them would be nice. Even if your not a F1 fan, just come on in and abuse me or something, I like the attention :P ... Right I'll leave you all with a picture of the gorgeous Fearne Cotton! ...

Level 31

I've only just realised that I'm level 31, and I haven't updated my blog in ages. So here it is I guess, this is my update and it sucks to be honest  ... Not an awful lot going on in my life at the minute.

Level 31 - Ippon! - A reference to Karate Champ, possibly the first arcade martial-arts game, first released way back in the Golden year of 1984

On the gaming side I've been rather busy lately ... Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2, Aliens Vs. Predator, FIFA 10 (still :P) ... also I don't know if any of you noticed, but I have a brand spanking new gamertag ... Ambassador Ant. Which I feel sounds much better than the crappy old Ant A 2008. I grew tired of people thinking their clever saying stuff like "Ha hey Ant its 2010 now, what are you like 2 years old or something ... Loser!" ... don't you just love the Xbox community sometimes :| ... add me if you wish.

Just a little reminder that the new Formula 1 season kicks off in less than a week, the first race will be held in Bahrain, so look out for my usual threads on the GSUK board :)

And that is about it, Happy Gamespotting my friends.

Level 30 & Congratulations To Button

I have finally hit the big Level 30.

Level 30 - Wicked Sick - The award earned in Unreal Tournament 2004 for 30 consecutive frags without a death.

I would also like to say a massive congratulations to Jenson Button and all his loyal fans, I'm sure most of you know but for those who don't Jenson Button is a British Formula 1 driver who finally claimed the 2009 World Championship and helped win Brawn GP the Constructors crown also last weekend and well this is his story ...

Jenson Alexander Lyons Button was born in the town of Frome in Somerset on 19 January 1980. Young Jenson first kickstarted his racing career at the age of eight, after his father, former Rallycross driver John Button brought him his first kart. He won all 34 races of the 1991 British Cadet Kart Championship, along with the title. Further successes followed, including three triumphs in the British Open Kart Championship. In 1997, he became the youngest driver ever to win the European Super A Championship, and won the Aryton Senna Memorial Cup as well, precipitating a move into car racing.

Aged 18, Button contested the British Formula Ford Championship with Haywood Racing and won the title, with nine race wins. He also triumphed in the Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch, ahead of future Indianapolis 500 winner Dan Wheldon. At the end of 1998, he won the annual McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver Award. His prize included a test in a McLaren Formula One car, which he received at the end of the following year.

Button entered Formula Three in 1999, with the Promatecme team. He won three times - at Thruxton, Pembrey and Silverstone - and finished the season as top rookie driver. He was third overall in the championship, behind Marc Hynes and Luciano Burti, and finished fifth and second respectively in the Marlboro Masters and Macau Grand Prix (0.035s behind winner Darren Manning in the latter).

He first drove in Formula One in the 2000 season, with the Williams team, switching in 2001 to Benetton, which in 2002 became Renault F1. After two years with the Enstone-based squad, he moved to BAR in 2003. They were subsequently renamed Honda for the 2006 season, during which Button won his first Grand Prix in Hungary, on 6 August 2006, after 113 races.

Following the withdrawal of Honda from the sport in December 2008, he was left without a drive for the 2009 season, until Ross Brawn led a management buyout of the team in February 2009, and Button suddenly found himself in a highly competitive, Mercedes-engined car. He went on to win six of the first seven races of the 2009 season, equalling a record achieved by only two other drivers: Michael Schumacher and Jim Clark. At the Brazilian Grand Prix, he amassed enough points over his rivals to secure the 2009 World Drivers' Championship, while also helping Brawn GP to secure the World Constructors' Championship in its maiden season.

Level 29 and 20,000 Gamerscore

I promised you a slightly better blog and well here it is, still isn't particuly interesting but oh well. Reached level 29 now which I'm rather proud of, I believe I'm starting to get recognised quite a bit now in different forums, feels good to noticed :)

Level 29 - Radiant Silvergun - An excellent top-down shooter for the Sega Saturn by Treasure.

I also hit 20,000 gamerscore last night, which I'm also rather happy about. All thanks to my recent investment in Dead Rising, and if none of you own this yet, I strongly recommend it, I never thought that slashing thousands of zombies with a whole collection of comepletly random items could be so much fun. The following achievement took me over the 20k milestone ...

Zombie Road - 20g

Walk over 33 feet (10 meters) on the backs of zombies using the Zombie Ride.

One more thing before I go, Those on the UK board may know that I am attempting to create a regular football thread each weekend, and well to be honest the last one was a little dissapointing. Please try and keep it alive or I may aswell just leave them, I am just trying to bring some life back to the forum, as in my opinion it has a died a little recently.

Gamespotters, If you have been, thanks for reading ... Ciao :)

Level 28 - Bionic Commando

Got myself a little streak going right now haven't had a moderation since March 5th  ... I really don't have anything else to say to be honest, been fairly boring. I was going to try and upload some pictures from the British Grand Prix, but it won't let me , Oh well, will have a decent blog soonish :?

Bionic Commando - cl@ssic NES game in which you played as a bionic commando who could not jump, but had a nifty extending bionic arm that let you swing from stuff. Truly kick-ass.

R.I.P Michael Jackson

I felt bad for not doing this sooner, But seen as I'm watching his beautiful memorial service, I just feel I should honor him in some way.

I grew up listening to this legendary person, and I'll admit when I was a child I asked my mother why this guy appeared so weird, but having this person removed from our lives feels like he has left a little of his masterful presence in all of us.

Which makes me think Michael isn't weird, Michael is different ... he was unique, no normal human-being could have such a gripping impact on the planet, on all of us, whether you want to admit it or not, we all have a memory of him in our hearts somewhere.

Love or hate him, A legend has been taken away from us, but he will live on forever.

"In our darkest hour,
In my deepest despair,
Will you still care?,
Will you be there?,
In my trials,
And my tribulations,
Through our doubts,
And frustrations,
In my violence,
In my turbulence,
Through my fear,
And my confessions,
In my anguish and my pains,
Through my joy and my sorrow,
In the promise of another tomorrow,
I'll never let you part,
For your always in my heart."

God bless your soul Michael Jackson, R.I.P

Level 27 - Sheng Long

 And I didn't even realise.

Level 27 - Sheng Long - In the English version of Street Fighter II, after winning, Ryu said "You must defeat Sheng Long to stand a chance." While the actual reference was to one of Ryu's moves, gamers thought it referred to a person. This was enhanced when EGM made a famous April Fool's joke claiming that Sheng Long was an unlockable boss.

Not much going on at the minute, been a rather boring past few weeks ... got some new trainers :D, but I haven't been payed in 2 months , so I'm a bit low on funds right now. Oh Red Dwarf: Back To Earth comes out today on DVD by the way if anyone is interested. My copy should arrive today. Thats about it to be honest, fairly boring I know, but thanks for reading anyway :).

Puma Scuderia Ferrari Cat Uni Trainers - Black

Red Dwarf: Back To Earth
I would post a picture, but it won't let me for some reason :?

Too Many Contacts

Hi guys, how is everyone ... just a very quick update, Umm ... I have way to many friends so I have deleted quite a few, I am just sorting through them all, so apologys if you get loads of messages and stuff, just bare with me.

Oh, If a mod or someone happens to read this, I haven't got my emblems for Day 1 or 3 of E3 yet

Level 26 & More Ferrari Stuff

Holy **** coud it be that ANT has finally reached level 26 after putting up with countess point losses .... has he finally reached the Cyber-Lip rank? ... Yes apparantly I have, un-smegging-believable, about time I think.

Cyber-Lip (Level 26) - A 2D side-scrolling shooter by SNK. Rick & Brook must save the Earth's space colony from the Cyber-Lip, a computer gone mad.

More Ferrari stuff :D, even though we are doing ultimately crappy at the minute, I remain dedicated to them.
Not much more to report if I'm honest, just wanted to let you all know that I haven't hung myself due to Chelsea being robbed in the Champions league semi-final :P

Grazie per la lettura :)

ANT To Replace Stefano Domenicali At Ferrari

As you may know, F1 has not been the same recently ... Brawn GP, Toyota and now Red Bull have dominated the first three races of this season. Good this may seem, but did nobody stop and think how much this would damage Ferrari?, What is wrong with you people?, a team that we all know deserves to be at the top, I'm sure you'll all agree.

3 races have passed us by and what do we have to show for it 15th (Raikkonen) and a retirement (Massa) in Australia, 9th (Massa) and 14th (Raikkonen) in Malaysia and 10th (Raikkonen) and another reitirement (Massa) in China. This is clearly very dissapointing for a team who has won 16 Constructors championships and 15 Drivers championships. A team who has 209 race victories, 203 pole positions and 218 fastest laps.

The poor Italian team has the unique distinction of owning nearly all significant records ...

  • Most constructor championships: 16
  • Most driver championships: 15
  • Most Grands Prix started (all-time): 778
  • Most wins (all-time): 209
  • Most wins (season): 15
  • Most podiums (all-time): 622
  • Most podiums (season): 29
  • Most one-two finishes (all-time): 79
  • Most pole positions (all-time): 203
  • Most points (all-time): 4,925.27
  • Most points (season): 262
  • Most fastest laps (all-time): 218
  • Highest winning percentage: 26% (for teams with at least 10 wins)
  • Most F1 fatalities: 7 (4 race, 1 qualifying, 2 testing)

We can't let Stefano damage these fantastic records (except the last one), if I have to I shall inject my awesome talents into the greatest F1 team on the universe.

To help these struggling souls in a difficult time, please just give your support on this post, and back ANT to replace Stefano Domenicali as Team boss, and together with your support we can restore the greatness that Ferrari deserve.

I am hoping for at least a million of you to pledge your support in comments by the start of the Bahrain Grand Prix in just under a week. Thanks for reading, I know you will do the right thing ... Grazie di nuovo :)
