you are right if you go down to the very minimum specs, but who plays with p4 nowadays? dell are selling duo core 2 with hd 3450 cheap, cause the motherboard can never support beyond 3450...

i personally feel that this is a prob that shldn't exist in the first place. with such technology to create such beautiful graphics, gameplay experience is neglected in the way that if your graphic card are not high end enough with vsync n triple buffing on it will affect your gpu load hence jerky experiences. Sad to say that vsync n triple buff are call cures, which goes to the saying of PREVENTION is better than cure. I hope developers would slow down in pushing games graphics and focus of solving this rendering issues.

Precisely you are right. and knowing that this will happen an internal vSync or smth must be done within the game itself using the capabilities of the platform 360 etc. you can change pc gpu anytime you want to keep up the draining requirements for vSync but not a console. therefore the word optimised is used. for example, gears of war or halo are so call exclusive for xbox then maybe later for pc are build specially for the console and work or alot of work has to be done to optimised for ps3 etc.

Plasma is just considered to be a non-energy saving and shorter life span technology but it is a better tv for gaming. due to overwhelming popularity of lcd, plasma are considered phasing out. try games on plasma you will be surprised.

choosing the right player is very impt so does having the right video codec driver if it is not "installed" on you gpu. a blur player won't activate the correct codec or utilises the gpu is not a gd player.

I'm assuming you are using hdmi version of 360. Console by defaut shld not exceed the tv's frame rate if not it defeats the purpose of being a console to be played on tv. Games shld be optimised at the frame of 50 or 60 for tv. Nonetheless there are some stupid games that are not optimised. nothing wrong with your console.

Unless you are using direct 10 machine 64bit. with decent duo core 3ghz or quad core 2.8ghz ( not sure crysis run better on 2 or 4 my guess is duo core 32bit at the moment) 4gig of ram and a most impt graphic Nvidia card that cost more than $500 or more then you are playing or can play the highest settings.
