She had to ask you your height before rejecting you? She couldn't tell if you were tall or not? Odd.

Anyway, 5'10 is taller than average. No need to worry. :)

I don't have some extreme preference. I can enjoy a decent game with a great storyline. On the other hand, a game with an alright story and excellent game play also works. But if one of those elements is mediocre, it will likely bring the whole game down for me. I personally think games can be as good at storytelling as movies so why wouldn't a great story matter to me? The only way that would work is if I was deliberately ignoring the story aspect of the game.

And truthfully, let's ask all the woman of domestic abuse the simple question: "Why did he hit you?". I bet you a high percentage admit they "Pushed him by being a b****". The fact is, sometimes they need to be hit. Not hard. Just enough like you would a dog who's being bad. They don't understand that their illogical/overly emotional nagging is the most annoying thing a man can hear.

See, I was thinking your post was perfectly rational until I read this bullshit. Either you're trolling or you're one of the biggest dumbasses on Earth--no lie, people who think domestic abuse is ever justified under any circumstance (and people who compare women to dogs) are very near the top of my very long shit list.

I'm with you. So far I've seen someone try to justify unequal treatment based on differing biology and another person try to justify domestic abuse. It's apparent that even in 2013, we haven't fully moved past sexism or abuse. Well, I'll admit I don't really support the extreme feminist views, but if we're talking about wanting equal treatment (which we all should be), then I'm proudly a feminist.

So when I first logged into the PS4, it imported my current PS3 avatar. However, when I try to pick a new avatar, none of my purchased avatars are available, including the one it's displaying on the PS4. Add to the fact I see no avatars for sale on the PSN store and my choices look a bit grim. Anyone else having this issue?

None. I'd need something more substantial like mutual love and attraction before engaging in something like that even if there were no strings attached and she offered it. Yeah, I know I'm no fun. Not that I don't find Catherine Zeta Jones utterly gorgeous or anything.

Anyone run into this issue and know how to fix it? I have no internet troubles on my profile, but when my bro goes into his, it tells him the service is down for maintenance.

To OP: Without covering the broad subject of transgender, have you actually asked a transsexual person your question? Or done some actual research beyond something that told you it was just "mind games?" Ask them and most will tell you, they literally feel trapped in the wrong body. It's extremely difficult feeling foreign and uncomfortable in your own body. The science? As I recall, the most accepted/usual reason is that a brain complication causes them to have the mind of one sex and the body of the other-- that is, a brain-body mismatch. The evidence? Studies find their brains are structured as the sex opposite of their bodies. So yeah, I understand why they feel the desire to transition. I'm sorry if you won't accept them for the sex they identify with. In fact you got it backwards. If you asked them, by transitioning, most would say they are coming to actually be closer to their natural selves, rather than something they are not. It's unlikely a therapist would be enough to help them. You should do some research and read about the countless trannsexuals who tried in vain to ignore their situation and find some way (any way) to cope. Transition, while difficult, tends to be considered their best option.

Tear Grants from Tales of the Abyss.  She has a very interesting backstory, and is designed sensibly.  Female JRPG characters can tend to be stereotypes or designed in an overly "sexy" or "cute" way, but she is designed modestly, and has a very distinct personality, while still being "attractive."  She's one of my all time fav (if not my completely favorite) female game characters.

Tear Grants is just plain awesome with how many stereotypes she averts. One of my favorite female characters.
