More variety in weapons, I suppose. Everything feels simplistic in IV.

I remember playing the game on my friend's 360. The earlier chapters with the strip-club was a horrifying example of the fact that the 360 just can't handle the game. It dropped to a depressing 10-20 fps, and 40-50 at best. Then I remember playing the game on my computer and having it run smooth as butter (60-100 fps on all high). Ubi learned from previous mistakes done with Vegas 1 and actually included some video options for customization and you can easily tell that they've optimized the game for PC quite well this time, because it actually runs quite well. Not great, or as good as a game with that mediocre level of detail should, mind you.

Developers often blame extremely poor sales on piracy when in fact there are external reasons. It's evident that Crysis did poor in sales, but my bet is that there's just not that large of a market for the game.

Furfighters.

Anyone ever play it for the Dreamcast or PS2? I loved it, such a charming game. Too bad Acclaim hit the bucket.

Apart from the "optimization" excuse that everyone has thrown out (which is very much so correct), there's more to it. Most games don't run AA or AF, and they also run at (for everything but 1080) lower resolutions. There aren't any background processes to worry about, and the games are coded to best work with the CPU and GPU in whichever console it's in. On top of all of that, the OS on these consoles is written specifically for gaming. It's programmed to do one thing really well, and that's game. There's versions of Linux out there that are specifically meant for gaming (supergamer linux is one that I'm familiar with) which actually produce better framerates than the native Windows. Imagine if you could have games written for just your computer, it's a lot like that.

It's a form of piracy protection I'd imagine. JiveT

Kind of hard to give exact answers... without exact questions with precise computer specifications.

With Dell monitors... it's a lottery. You either get a quality product, or a screen full of problematic errors such as dead pixels and other assorted annoyances that you'll have to return it back.

I'd say goodbye to AGP. Upgrading is almost a waste.

They can hold up, sure, for simple tasks that don't require much energy consumption such as surfing the internet. But if you're planning to game, which I'm assuming considering you're buying the card, I'd seriously consider upgrading your current psu.
