Fire emblem and FF tactics are my favorite SRPG's. I'll have to pick this up for my birthday.

I've never been more excited about a game since SSBB. Pokemon Red was one of the first games I've ever played, and it is the best game I've played. Pokemon will always be a part of my childhood, and it brings a tear to my eyes to know that there's some kid out there who's first pokemon game is going to be x/y. I imagine that kid will look back and wonder how people ever played a 2D pokemon. I'll just pat his back, and tell him, "It was great, son." And then we'll both start playing the story, him or her enjoying the game for the first time and me reliving one of the best moments of my childhood.

Pokemon's back.

As much as I enjoy Chrome, I detest the stupid jumping scroll when you press the spacebar. It can really glitch out at times.meconate
So that's what that was all along.

The dating of the ancient texts some of you are referring to is not widely agreed upon(or at least not that I could find).

I don't have all of the answers to your questions and I wish I did. I want to know the truth about these things, and I have read the Bible and found moral truth in it. I pray that someday you will too.

If you start reading more further and not just what fits your beliefs, you will find that the claims about Mithraism claiming similar things only happened once Christianity took off.

"As a result, there is no surviving central text of Mithraism analogous to the Christian Bible, and there is no intelligible text which describes the liturgy."

The Mahabharata was ancient in the time of Christ and records divine virgin birth.

From what I quickly read online it also says that person was born through the skull of it's mother.

[QUOTE="2-10-08"] I believe that there was a real man named Jesus who lived 2000 years ago and fulfilled hundreds of prophecies from the old testament. His life was perfect, and there is no other explanation for the Bible and the Christian religion. Other religions or mythologies can not claim this. I believe what I think is true, but if you are looking for proof then I cannot give it to you.Zeviander
So... "faith" is all you have? Other religions and mythologies, especially some that predated Christianity, certainly claim some very similar things. Mithraism is one of several. But why, what reason, other than your faith, should someone reject the truth of Odin and the Æsir in favor of a Jewish messiah claimant?

The Bible was written long before norse mythology was invented. I think earlier texts should take precedence.

[QUOTE="2-10-08"] At some point in the future Jesus Christ, who died and was resurrected on the third day, will make his second coming. The christians who have already died will be resurrected and go to heaven, the living christians will dissapear into heaven, and everyone else will be "thrown into the lake of fire". This lake of fire is another name for hell, which is described as a place of great suffering. Zeviander
And what exactly makes you think this is any more likely than Odin returning with his legions of brave warriors from Valhalla and Æsir from Asgard to fight in the grand battle of Ragnarok?

[QUOTE="2-10-08"] The bible is not a story book. It is the word of god inspired by god, written by humans. Zeviander
And the Qur'an is the Word of God revealed by Gabriel to an illiterate desert guru. Your point?

Given the evidence of both religions, the evidence for the Christian religion is stronger.
