One thing I noticed about JRPGs on the 2 systems is that, Nintendo have more of the old type of JRPGs. Swords, shields, knights, mages, etc. while Sony has more modern day JRPGs with regular guys living in a modern city, walking around with huge swords, and guns as if carrying them in public was a normal everyday thing lmao.

Who is your go to for those long, epic, or sometimes silly and perverted JRPGs? Some JRPGs are exclusive to a certain brand, like how Personas main line is on Sony, and how Shin Megami Tensai is mostly exclusive to Nintendo. As a JRPG fan, do you guys have a series that are tied to a brand that makes it a deal breaker when it comes to the other brand?

So, since Doom Eternal is delayed for Switch, what happens to the Doom 64 preorder bonus? Do Switch owners no longer get it? I ask because, I preordered months ago, but obviously will not be getting Doom Eternal this Friday. I do however plan on buying Doom 64 on the eShop this Friday instead of waiting for Bethesda to give us a release date (AFAIK, there is no release date), so, will the preorder bonuses for us Switch owners just be a useless redeemable code for us? If so, and if you plan on buying Doom 64 on Friday on the eShop, what will you be doing with your redeemable code? I'll probably just post it on social media as a first come first serve gift to whoever redeems it.

@Archangel3371: The Switch is great for the most part. I guess I've just been spoiled by the performance of my PS4 Pro and it's making it hard for me to want to keep playing on the Switch. I'm also comparing how crisp the games look on the PS4 Pro compared to my Switch. I'm comparing Persona 5 and Tokyo Mirage Sessions. The comparison is night and day. TMS is such a great game but, it does not look good compared to P5 or even P4G on the Vita. It performs like a dream though. I haven't had any framerate issues from TMS, at all. The colors look incredibly washed out to it's big siblings P4 and P5 though.

I'm talking console wise, compared to Sony and Microsoft. I guess you can include PC too. I've been a follower of Sony and Nintendo my whole life. Before Sony came into the picture, I followed Sega and Nintendo. After all these years, seeing how great games look and play, I can't help but feel like I'm getting tired of the poor ports we've been getting on the Switch. Ports like Saints Row 3, and some indie titles either play or look significantly worse on thr Switch than on Xbox or PS4. I love collecting Nintendo stuff, and their collector's edition of things are usually the best. But, lately, looking at some ports on my PS4 and comparing it to my Switch, I'm kind of tired of getting games that look worse or play worse for the system.

I get that Nintendo shines with their 1st party games. Some of their games have changed and done great things for the future of gaming, and they're still doing that to this very day. There is a reason why Nintendo still stands as strong as they do, and why their games get the praise that they do. Is that enough anymore compared to what other developers are doing for other systems?

I actually really like it. Bought the soundtrack from Play-Asia. The characters aren't all that interesting and I have only played very little mecha games but, I really dig this one. The only game I'm really comparing it to is Armored Core 1 and 2. The other mecha games I've played are bullet hell games like Astebreed and Stardust Galaxy Warriors. It's sparked my interest in mecha anime too, I'm trying to look into which Gundam series to watch thanks to Daemon X Machina.

Didn't Apple do this just a few months back when they released 2 phones at the same time? I remember them getting backlash from it because they essentially released an inferior product on launch day, though, I think it was kind of cool of them to do it as well. They gave the consumer 2 options. One for the ones who want all the flashy stuff, and one of the ones who didn't need all the flashy stuff. Even though I would never touch Apple products with a stick because of their prices, it was still cool of them to do it. I think it will be cool if Sony did it too, but I do think that a pro model on launch day is probably a bad idea, for multiple reasons. The main reason is that technology is always changing. The point of a pro model is to upgrade your experience for new technology, the how the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro are there to enhance your experience into 4K. What happens 5 years from now when TV monitors evolve into flashier products? Wouldn't Sony want to enhance their fans experience by creating a system that would look amazing on that new monitor? I think they should wait, that way, when we hit that point in time where our monitors get bigger and require higher resolution and power, we won't be begging for a "Pro 2".

Yeah, right. Put me in front of the tv during the Friends finale, or make me watch Angel Beats, and I basically become the perfect fountain for your living room.
