Man, what happened to this place? There used to be 100 times as many posts here. In fact, I used to hate coming to OT because by the time I finished writing a post the thread would be on Page 5. I'm not trying to be a buggy old man, but can someone give some insight on why activity has gone down so drastically? And what happened to user created boards?
It was already losing activity in the last year, and when the new site launched even more people left. But it's getting kinda better, and certainly not as dead as it was a couple of months ago.
Oh and UCBs and unions are gone. Only a few popular unions made it over, but as normal boards.
Ah well, I remember things getting very cumbersome when unions were introduced. Addition by subtraction there. Though UCB's were a ton of fun when they were cool. It's crazy that you can curse here now though- and that post above me would've been deleted for spam. I suppose all the old GS neckbeard mods made their way to reddit and 4chan...
Keep playing the PS3 as long as you can possibly enjoy it. You'll save a ton of money! I play video games one generation behind. I bought a PS3 & MGS4 about a month ago ;).

Maher definitely seems like a cool guy, but he comes off as very condescending when addressing people with differing viewpoints. I'm very moderate but I usually find liberal media less condescending and frustrating to watch. Maher is an exception to this rule. I think he is unfairly lumped together with guys like Jon Stewart and Colbert, who are satirical yet open for rhetoric. He attempts satire, but is more Maddow/O'Reilly then he is Jon Stewart.
That being said, he is pretty funny sometimes and gets A+ guests.
