PES 2009 Review..

PES 09 - Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 got rated a 6.5 - But deserved at the least 7.5 and at most 8.5. The modes is very fun, and "Become a legend" is very addictive. The whole idea about being one person in the whole team was stole of Fifa 09 I would have to admit. But I like it because you can choose someone like Rooney in Fifa 09 and you just play for Manchester United, but in become a legend, you can say play for AC Milan one day then you get offers by Barcelona etc. Master League is fine, negotioans can be annoying because it's hard to buy people, but it's quite easy to sell reserves etc. Gameplay is fine, I think the controls are better from PES 08. The shooting has improved vastly, in PES 08 if you tap shoot it will go flying in PES 09 it's just about right, but there is room for improvement, aiming can be better, eg if I shoot right then it goes to far to the right and I miss an easy goal. Online is pretty fun, you have a record for ranked games, but if you just want to have a laugh, like a friendly game, then you can have an unranked game. It's PSP so obviously it doesn't have the best wireless connection. So alot of lag is online, which is REALLY annoying. Music is just poor - If you want a game which has a good libary off music you would be better with Fifa 09. I am also dissapointed with NO COMMENTRY! The game does be a bit dull, just imagine Manchester United VS Real Madrid with no commentry, you would find it dull and odd. There aren't alot of modes, only one's I know on the top of my head is Exibition,Training,Gallery to view your saved goals etc, Master League, but there just the same as 08 only new mode is Become A Legend. There isn't a Champions League mode, and if I heard correctly there is on PS3, which is a let down. PES 09 didn't really give enough focus for the PSP version they where mostly aiming to do good on the next-gen consoles. This game is pretty good though overall. I give it a 8/10.
