Pro Cast Sports Fishing E3 2003 Preshow Report

Capcom has announced plans to deliver a bass fishing game exclusively to the Xbox. Pro Cast Sports Fishing is its name, and big bass fishing action is its game.

The game will feature a wide variety of lures to purchase and choose from, with the end goal being attracting larger and larger fish. The game will also have rare fish, including the mysterious mirage fish. You'll be able to choose from three different playable characters, and you'll also be able to purchase other items aside from lures, such as a lucky hat and boat improvements.

Three modes will be found in Pro Cast Sports Fishing. Arcade mode is a timed bass fishing tournament. Free fishing is a practice mode of sorts, letting you perfect your technique without the pressure of the time limit. Simulation mode gives you points for each fish you catch, which you can spend in the shop to get items and information.

No official release information for Pro Cast Sports Fishing is currently available, but as of this writing, retailers are listing the game for an early August release.
