Another hit in the wall running series.

User Rating: 8 | Prince of Persia Rival Swords PSP
Rival Swords is more of the same from the Prince of Persia. An immense 3d world where you spend your time, jumping from platform to platform, solving puzzles with levers and switches, and using your ever ready sword to kill of enemies, all while following the story which unfolds in front of you.

The game has sharp graphics, and cleverly designed worlds along with some top animation sequences. The biggest let down, as with other Prince of Persia, is the sound. Too many times the background music stalls, or the voices don't sound leaving you watching a animation in silence. The game is pretty lengthy and those who haven't played PoP before will find it huge. Those who have and are familar with the Prince's moves will skate through the first half of the game. Puzzles range from simple to difficult and you may find yourself checking a guide once in a while. There are several bosses, all of which are difficult. Saves point are frequent but what is almost annoying is filling sand tanks allows you to rewind time...a great idea, but there are so many sand tanks to find meaning you never have to use them sparingly.

There is also two chariot races....these are neither here or there...an interesting addition nonetheless, but nothing vital.

All in all, a great game for fans, and new comers alike, although they may find it a tad hard going.
