WHAT?!!!!! A 2-Dimensional plane?
I cannot see myself playing a game based on a 2-dimensional plane EVER again. Not since I have played all of the Prince of Persia games on the PS2 system. Being able to run up walls and literally act like a fool in the open enviroment of the Sands of Time game had me hooked. Then the "jumping to the past' and 'back to the future' feats that was available in the Warrior Within game put two hooks in me. Of course the running from the Dhaka was thrilling as well. Then there was the final game, The Two Thrones. I as totally convinced that if I can't have my character actively participate in the enviroment that the character is based in, then the game really isn't worth the time to play it. Of course this self-centered,biased, narrowminded opinion that I have developed was validated by other games like God of War I and II, Tomb Raider Legends and Anniversary, Bully and Vice City.
I know what you are thinking. "WTF does all that jabbering about how Prince of Persia and the other mentioned games have to do with the opinion of Prince of Persia Classics? Simple, The is absolutely no way in He El will I ever play the character that I played in PoP for PS2 in a 2-dimensional plane. Thats just plain crazy talk. And to think, You payed $10 dollars to lessen the experience. Thats just down right dumb!
