Primal was recommended to me by a number of sources and was one of the reasons that I bought my PlayStation 2. I am big into story-driven games and this one seemed to fit the bill. After having bought it and played it, I can say that it was worth the price of the game (and I have other games to make the PS2 a value) but it does have a few snags. The gameplay/interface are somewhat less than fluid. They work out all right, for anyone who has played another third person shooter, but they do tend to leave one motion sick and/or looking for the enemy in some confusion. The graphics are quite good, without being cutting edge. The sound is very good. The atmosphere and music set the mood quite nicely. Overall Value of the game is good, without being the top since there's little replay value. The thing that this game has going for it, primarily, is the story. It rocks. Add to that the very good voice acting and you've got a game you'll want to play to completion without pause. Final verdict: buy it. It's worth it. Sj
