The Gamespot review is well-written, cute, and witty...too bad it's very, very wrong.

The graphics are very good, the atmosphere is very well done (I dare someone to turn out the lights and turn up the volume and play this game for a few levels and tell me they don't get creeped-out...). Yes, there are technical flaws. The screen does pause momentarily at times when the map/zombies are updated, but this is only at certain areas, and it is only temporary. It is not something that goes on throughout all parts of all levels. To be honest, I can't say much about the level design, mostly because I was caught up in the moment to think about level design...and that's what I like...a game that makes you forget its a game even if just for a few hours.
The sound does leave something to be desired, but I think more music would take the player out of the moment...unless I'm walking around with headsets on blasting zombies...I'm probably not going to be hearing music.
In short, anyone who likes zombie movies will love this game. Anyone that just loves Halo and other fast-paced 1st person shooters, MAY be disappointed, but I recommend picking it up anyway if you want to get into a game with some atmosphere.
