Futuristic racing game that is pretty good, but has A LOT more potential.

if you're looking for a futuristic racer, then powerdrome pretty much fits the bill. however if you're looking for QUALITY in the game, then i'm not so sure. what is so unfortunate about powerdrome is the fact that it had the potential to be a very solid and, hey, even fun game. but it's horrid controls, odd graphics and boring championship mode, and other less-obvious things all contribute to it being not all too great. you might get into the championship mode at first, but continuous playing may see you too frustated or too engrossed in other games to care. setting the racing aside, this game actually has a lot to offer. extras such as galleries, movies (though i haven't unlocked one yet), and other characters available to unlock gave me the impression the Mud Duck and Argonaut were at least trying. and the fact that i found this game used for under $2 had me saying, "hey, why not". it's a decent game, but it faults and missed inclusions give it a 6.9.
