Even on the dawn of the PS3 and XBox 360 era, this is still easily one of my top five favorite games.

I am sure that anyone who has played either Power Stone 1 or 2 would most surely agree with me when I say this is one of the greates creations that Capcom has ever made. Those who have played only Power Stone 1, should take notice that the second is billions better. Those who haven't played either...shame on you. Power Stone 2 is a game that prospers greatly from its prequel. Power Stone 2 is a party fighter, and like Super Smash Brothers, is a four player game. Unlike Super Smash Brothers, the gameplay isn't in a 2D formation like SSBrothers. Therefore, huge arenas to roam, ultimately leading to more strategy. Power Stone 2's arenas are truly one of its treasure, as it offers traps, blockades, destructible objects, water to swim in, and over a billion items to use in battle (literally). The arenas are also moving! One of them includes when the ship in the sky blows up and the characters have to jump off the ship. Power Stone 2 has one main (MAIN, not only) attack button for combos. Players can use off wall attacks, pole attacks, jump attacks, the list goes on. Then there are other buttons for shorter combos and to pick up your opponent. The game doesn't allow blocking abilities, but there is so much strategy and environmental factors that come into play, who wants to waste their time blocking? As the name accounts, there are many power stones scattered among the arena. If you pick up three, you go into super mode and your defense and offense is increased, and you are able to perform special attacks. Only 2 players can become super mode at once (Or you can change the number of power stones at options). Power Stone 2 offers diverse players, some prone to heavy melee, some don't take as much damage (Which in this case, is defense), some are faster, whatever. The story mode is a bit dissapointing, being the same thing every time, and the matches almost always the same. But with story, you can unlock three extra arenas and two secret characters. You can also buy more weapons and items at the item shop, and even have a go at fusing two items and making a whole new one! You can also give any character a new look. Save the look, and in the game with the character, you may be lucky enough to get a clear crystal in the game. Grab it, and your new look for the character will be applied. Power Stone 2, is an immensely fun game, and the fun will be multiplied by 500 with more players to play with. All in all, this is a great game, and everyone should try it out if they have the chance.
