Power Rangers Super....freakin' lousy, awful, horrible, boring, lame piece of "you know what".

I'm a tad, little bit upset you see, I just finished Power Rangers Super Legends, this is the cheapest DS game I've ever bought, I guess you get what you pay for, but I honestly didn't expect it to be this....super lame. I mostly like the Power Rangers, yeah, what the hell is wrong with me, right? When I was a kid, Power Rangers, along with TMNT and Biker Mice were the absolute coolest shows around, and....you know what? Who cares? Let's just dive into this pool of feces. First of all, the game is an excruciating bore, as I've said before, the only rule I have when doing these reviews, I MUST have finished the game's story mode or "main attraction" so to speak. I wasn't so sure I would bother finishing this one. I actually got to the final stage, the only challenging stage in the game with all the previous bosses in a gauntlet including a final battle. The bosses are easy, but they take forever to beat and if you do get hit, it takes a hefty chunk out of your health bar. Anyway, I thought "to hell with it, am I really going to punish myself through this just to tell you how bad it is?" Well, I did it, LA-DEH-FREAKIN'-DAH.

Like previous games in the series it's a brawler. There's a ton of levels, it feels like it goes on forever. The game has levels based on the following series or seasons: Time Force, Operation Overdrive, Wild Force, Lost Galaxy, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Ninja Storm and S.P.D. They all suck, and "Time Force", arguably the best Power Rangers series is only featured here with two levels and the villain is that fat, blue mutant with the gold chains who I can't remember the name of, that's right, no Ransik, no Nadira, it's that guy. Then again, I'm glad some levels are shorter than others. The fighting is lousy, slow, unresponsive combat, but hey, hey, slow down, I like Final Fight which also has slow combat, but those games have great environments, enemies, bosses, music and the list goes on. You get new moves along the way, some are useful, and look flashy enough. The enemies take forever to die and they just keep filling the screen.

The flying sections are just as bad, dull and uninspired as the regular 2D stages, the 3D Megazord battles are marginally, that's MARGINALLY interesting, the stylus controls work for the most part, and the boss battles, as long as they take and how cheap and cowardly you have to play them, are at least more exciting than anything else in the game. The special moves used to clear the screen aren't very cool, but other Rangers appear at random, so that's...I don't know what it is, not cool, just a little nice detail. There's a Co-op option, not for the story mode but separate stages I guess, haven't tried it and I most likely never will. I did NOT like this game.
