We check out the new user-generated content tools found in the PC version of Portal 2.
WOW, AFTER A WEEK OF THIS LEVEL EDITOR BEING OUT THERE IS THOUSANDS OF USER MADE MAPS!!! The game literally just became endless, I hope they slowly improve the map creator to allow even more detail. Valve rocks soooo much and rewards nicely for people who give them money, EA just rapes me and leaves me bloody and guilty feeling but valve makes sweet love to me and takes me on vacation.
when i herd there was going to be a leval disgner, i knew it was going to be only on PC. but this is so simple it could easily be on consoles.
A lot of respect for Valve. The way they are able to achieve a high level of entertainment with such simplicity, is astounding. If only more of the larger developers followed their example!
For many of my younger years I was a PC gamer, but once my desire for gaming outweighed my ability to mantain and update a PC I went to console gaming. I have been pleased and satisfied by my 360 for quite some time now and this one map editor alone has made me wish I was still on a PC.... hats off to Valve! Like your games weren't good enough already... :P

For those wishing this was on the consoles:
It's highly likely that valve will at one point select a large group of player-made test chambers that are very good, and put them together as a DLC for the xbox 360 and PS3.
I mean, they've done this before with Left 4 Dead 2.

5 Like @Ladiesman17 Thumbs down buttons are one of the most misused features of online communities. In theory, they should be used to hide comments that don't really contribute to discussion. In actuality, they tend to serve more as a petty "I disagree with this" button.
2 Like Got this yesterday, tried a few levels that were available already and was thoroughly impressed. The maps may lack the visual appeal which is expressed throughout the campaign (test chambers falling apart etc.) but they are challenging and for the most part require good critical thinking to solve. There are also a slew of new voice recording by Cave Johnson to enjoy which is a treat.
Try the maps by Mevious, I prefer them for their appropriate level of difficulty which is a bit harder than the average puzzles in the campaign but do-able even for those that don't play a lot of portal these days and are rusty at thinking with portals.
Shining example of why PC gaming rocks right here! So Much CONTENT!

Why haven't they released this for consoles? It looks really easy to make a level with those tools and would be a nice complement for games like Mod Nation racers that have easy to use creation tools.
this game sucks only made this game because the could not up come with anything better than this

3 Like I don't know if anyone else said this, but you don't have to restart game to get chamber on list, Just subscribe, unsubscribe and subscribe again to the map you want to play. That worked for me every time. Hope this helps ^^.
