Portal left a high standard to live up to, but valve does not disappoint with its awesome sequel Portal 2 which also features co-op! The puzzles from the game still maintains great mechanics, and the new gels and devices add even more challenge and satisfaction to the gameplay! The story was a bonus for me. When i look at getting a game, i think does it have good gameplay, graphics and STORY! Well portal 2 expands on the very mysterious apature labratories with white walls, hundreds of test chambers (puzzles) to solve and a huge desserted facility to explore. If you've played the first and like me were wondering: "Where is the staff of the company?" and "Who am I?" and "How did I come to be a test subject in this place?", well the game now expands and goes back to the founding of the apature facility and its, now dead, CEO Cave Johnson decades before. It does this by doing deeper into the huge facility to the old test chambers located thousands of meters below the surface. I won't tell you too much but I'll say that the ending is unforgetable. That goes for the co-op story too. Although it isnt that long and not very developed, it answers some important questions. Also remember to look at the short comics which explain a great deal regarding the scientist that wrote the memorable messages of "the cake is a lie" in the original. Please don't think that this is any other game. The only thing that I found was a bummer was the length of the game. The single-player is about 8-10 hours and the co-op about 3-4 hours depending on how well you are at the puzzles. But it isnt all puzzles. Alot of the segments throw you into a "run-away-from-the-evil-robot" sequence. They are most enjoyable. A must have for any good or casual gamer!
I really enjoyed playing this game and it is a blast!! My son and I had a great time figuring out the puzzles together. It takes the first Portal, another awesome game, and expands on it in all the right ways. All new p... Read Full Review
