I agree with the other user reviews so why only an 8.5? First of all I have been a gamer for longer than I will admit. I've played all styles on all platforms over the decades and I will say Portal 2 is fun, entertaining, and addictive. I recommend gamers to check it out. But where is the replay value? Nowhere. Once you beat this game solo and co op there will be no reason play thru again. The game takes about 7 hours to beat solo. So spending $60 or so and then finishing the game in a couple days does not warrant a purchase but rather a rental. Most video store chains offer week rentals and that is more than ample time to chew through this game in both modes. That way you still have $45 still in your pocket. When the DLC is released may invite you pull the game from the shelf but other than that there is no reason to play it over. I'm sure once all the DLC content is released an "ultimate edition" will soon follow. That's the time to make your purchase. Until then, I'd recommend renting.
