A very good and warm story trapped inside a game with boring gameplay.

Popolocrois has one of the best stories I have gone through in recent Rpg’s, It’s a shame that it’s gameplay is so basic and simple, because of it this game fails to achieve a superb rating.

The gameplay is so basic it starts to get boring very fast; you are hardly ever challenged throughout the game. Basically you start a random fight and then the battle field turns into a grid were you either fight with a melee attack or do some magic, forty hours later you rinse and repeat. After a while the bosses become an endurance exercise where all you do is repeat the same magic attack and cure occasionally, after the fight is over you are just glad that you can continue with the story.

Graphics are great, keeping in mind that this is an old school oriented game. The characters are very well developed and each of them has its unique actions that make the game very funny, you can find yourself laughing out loud at the characters antics and story.

Throughout the game you will find a host of very different and catchy tune, I can assure you one of these tunes is going to be stuck in your mind long after you finish the game.

Popolocrois is a very well thought out story that was fitted into a good game, unfortunately the gameplay leaves a lot to be desired, making this game one of those games you play and then you move on and never look back.
