Poker Smash User Review
- Difficulty:
- Hard
- Time Spent:
- 10 to 20 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Just plain fun"
Good:
-great presentation
-nice graphics
-Can be very challenging
Bad:
-Has not much to do with the real poker game.
-You grow tired of it after a while
This game is a blast to play, if you like games like tetris and can stand a bit of a challenge.
The main goal in the game is, while they keep rising, to keep your stacks of cards as low as possible. To do that, you must perform classic poker combinations like a flush, 4 of a kind and straight. You can only shift one cardat the time to the left or the right, to make it more difficult. There are cardnumbers varying from 10, jack, queen, king, ace, and the more combo's you make, the more points you get. Like tetris, if a card reaches the top, it's game over for you.
While the game's called poker smash, I don't know what it has to do with poker, besides from the cards and the combinations.
The game offers a good challenge though: If you gain a level, the stacks of cards rise faster and faster. Luckily, you have the ability to slow down the pace, or if it is too easy, to speed it up.If you are really in trouble, you can throw bombs to get rid of cards you can't use at the moment. Sometimes in the game you get a combo challenge e.g. make a combination of 5 kings within 15 seconds. If you achieve this challenge, you get extra points.
Poker smash is a nice game to play if you want to play something between the usual fifa, gears, fallout etc. etc. I personally play it for 10-15 minutes before I grow tired of it. Perhaps you should download the demo first to see if this is the game for you..
