What are the changes/additions made to this game from the original?

i played the original when it first came out all those years ago. i'm kinda wanting to play a pokemon game again. i played black and i didn't like what pokemon has become. so i figure i would buy soul silver. i remember having to go trough 2 regions and collecting 16 badges. this would add a lot of gameplay value.

so what has been added to soul silver to make it a more current version than the original silver?

also does soul silver use WPA2 connection?(i have a DSi if that matters) or does it still only use WEP?

First, you can only use a WEP connection for Nintendo WFC, even if you have a DSi.

Some major changes made from the original Gold ans Silver include new Pokémon, obviously, especially several more legendaries and starters. There are also the Pokéathlon Dome and Battle Frontier for optional challenges. There a few storyline and aesthetic changes, as well.

more pokemon to be caught is always a good thing. as well as extra challenges.

to bad about the WFC thing. i'm not willing to drop security to go online. you would think that nintendo would have opened up more for the WFC by now. whats the point making a handheld capable of using WPA/2 but not the games.

i'll be picking the game up soon none the less. thanks for the info.
