Emerald is a good game, but has too many recycled parts.

Pokemon Emerald is a good game, but some things hold it back.
Story: The story is not the standard pokemon fare. It starts out the same, but you end up taking out 2 evil teams and 2 legendary pokemon. Other than that, the only other big difference from Ruby and Sapphire is the pokemon that the Gym Leaders and Elite Four use and the Battle Frontier. The Battle Frontier is a nice addition, but does not add a whole lot of replay value. If you have played Ruby of Sapphire, then there is not much reason to buy this game. If you haven't played either, then I would recommend them over this one. 5/10
Graphics: Better than Ruby and Sapphire's graphics, but nothing great. 9/10
Variety: No new pokemon, but the additions to the safari zone and the tree and cave of the Battle Frontier more than make up for that. 10/10
Sound: The sounds are fitting, but most are recycled ftom Ruby/Sapphire. 8/10
Overall: While Ruby and Sapphire are better, this game is a good RPG for those who just ''gotta catch 'em all'' 8/10
