Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs User Review
Truly better than Shadows of Almia or Pokemon Ranger 1. With better graphics, a new plot, it's truly epic. Read review!

- The Bottom Line:
- "Best in series"
I remember seeing a commercial for Pokemon Ranger 1, and I being a true Trainer --or in this case, Ranger-- went right away to get it. I found it immersing, with the new style of gameplay, and the freshness of the plot. Then when Shadows of Almia came out, I was begging my parents to drive me to Toys "R" Us. Guardian Signs is far better than Shadows of Almia, but isn't a game that tries too hard, unlike most sequels. This game is awesome, with even better graphics, cool animations, and the ability to ride cool Pokemon like Raikou and Latios. It also has obviously gotten out of the Team ....... kind of bad guys, with the new Pokemon Pinchers. This game is really better, but is it going to keep you immersed long? Yes, it will. When a boss is defeated, you get a Letter score and, sometimes, a Ranger Sign. With the Ranger Sign, you can either re-battle to improve your Letter score, or with Latios/Latias, Raikou, Entei, and Suicune, you can ride on their backs, each one with a different effect on it's surroundings. This was definately the biggest change to the Ranger series. This is fun for old-time Rangers, and new ones.
Scores:
Graphics: 9.9 Could be better, but still epic.
Gameplay: 9.8 Immersing, but the slightest bit repetitive.
Plot: 10 New, and has a different plot then Ranger 1 and 2.
Price: 10 Worth it. Buy this game.
Fun factor: 10. You won't get bored for a while.

Sabrina uses Psychic types, and strong ones at that. There were some rough spots when dealing with Mr.Mime and Alakazam, but I got through the mess.Posted Aug 4, 2011
