Less EXP after Elite 4?

How come after I defeat the Elite 4, all of my Pokemon on that team suddenly gain a lot less experience points? Like it dropped from 1800ish to only 300. Is it just my imagination...?

It's just your imagination. By the way, are you aware that experience gain is based on the Pokémon you're fighting, its level, and whether it's a wild or trained Pokémon?
