Yep. Whatever you KO will always give you EVs. So the E4 give you EVs per pokemon you kill. If you're curious as to what you'll get, look it up on Serebii's pokedex, scroll to the bottom of the page and it'll say "EVs gained from battling".

I'm confused now. I thought that when you use power items the EVs are calculated as follows:
for 1 EV (ex. Magikarp) where you have all six of your Pokemon with PKRS, the first one has the Power Item (for that EV stat), and your other five have Experience Share, don't you calculate EVs by:
    Pokemon 1: (1 x 2) + 4 = 6 EVs
    Pokemon 2-6: (1 x 2) = 2 EVs

In other words, is the bonus of 4 from the power item also multiplied by 2? I thought that it wasn't.

The power item is definitely doubled too.

so wait...exp. share gets EV's too? ah crap...didn't know that. now i need to feed my metagross a bunch of berries to get rid of those Ev's...sigh. just recently learned about EV training but i never heard about that.

Yep, the EXP share gives EVs. If you've only just found out about EV training, I hope this guide was useful.

And to all those who requested stickies, thank you!

Yeah, that'd be a fine place to train in the wild. I'm not sure how many other pokemon appear there that don't give defense EVs tho. But as long as they're dodged then yeah, that'd be a good place.

Quick question. Do you recommend hatched Pokemon or Ingame teams for EV Training? I was thinking about EV Training my Gallade but I used him in ingame battles throughout the game.

You could EV train it but you'd need a lot of berries in every stat to make sure he hasn't still got a few unwanted EVs floating around.

I recently did that with my Latios and it worked out absolutely fine. The reason I recommend egg born pokemon is so that you can keep track of the EVs with minimal effort. You can by all means use the berries to reduce EVs, it just takes a bit longer.

Fallout 3 is a 1/10 compared to Oblivion. And a 10/10 compared to normal games.
