Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time User Review
- Difficulty:
- Very Easy
- Time Spent:
- 20 to 40 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Mixed reactions"
...what can I say? It's pretty fun, there's a wide range of items and quests that are randomly generated. After actually beating the main storyline, you have a side storyline to continue with, and afterwards you've got certain things to look forward to, like ranking up, finding rare treasures or unlocking the final and hardest dungeon.
The sprites for the Pokemon are well done, but the sprites for items are not as various as I hoped (despite there being a wide range of items). The animation is smooth, and the attacks are unique to that of the actual Pokemon games.
The story line is well managed, besides the fact there are technically no humans, it's nice to see things from the Pokemons' perspective. There are many side-story lines to go by after completing it, from rescuing a long lost explorer to defeating the cause of madness in the Pokemon world.
The multiplayer features lack somewhat. Besides the whole ' trade pokemon and items ' charade, there isn't enough to make a fun multiplayer experience. I would love to go on an expedition with friends, but the only way to both be in the same dungeon is by losing and getting a rescue team in.
I'm giving the game a 7.5, so it's still good

When I bought this I thought it was awful considering how bad the first Mystery Dungeon was. Boy was I shocked!

Sabrina uses Psychic types, and strong ones at that. There were some rough spots when dealing with Mr.Mime and Alakazam, but I got through the mess.Posted Aug 4, 2011
