So, I'm using a certain generator that a lot of people know (I don't know if "m allowed to link it) and I can't seem to make it work...

On the start up screen, I go to the "Wonder Mail S" option, receive mail, and use a password.

I've typed in the password via the generator correctly and double checked. Yet when I try and enter the password, I get a message saying that it is incorrect.

What am I doing wrong? I'm aware that there are people who have successfully used it (as I've read in some threads) and I've also tried some of the codes from the Wonder Mail S FAQ...

Thanks for any help you can provide.

What version of the game are you using? IIRC, the European version has different wondermail passwords than the North American version. If this is the case, I'm not sure how to help you out. I think 1 of the two wondermail generators is able to make European version wondermails. See if yours can do that.

I'm using a ROM version on my R4. I'm 99% sure it's the American version...

I'm using the wondermail generator that CAN do European codes. Still unsure what's the problem...

Are you sure you're not using the Advanced Generator?

    BASIC http://apointlessplace.net/wms/wmgenerate.html
    ADVANCED http://apointlessplace.net/wms/wmgenerate.html?advanced

The Basic one only lists certain valid items, dungeons and Pokémon (which is most of them, but there are notable exceptions, like Porygon and Froslass), and so always pulls up codes that work.

The Advanced one lists everything; valid dungeons, test dungeons, wireless demo exclusives, Pokémon that can't be recruited via Wonder Mail... so listing an invalid "something" in one field generates a code that - while it looks like it works - won't.

It is, as some admiral once said, a trap.
