Does Pokemon Soul-Silver outdo it's predecessor?

User Rating: 9 | Pocket Monsters SoulSilver DS
The latest addition in the legendary Pokemon series is the best yet.

Gameplay: You know the drill, standard old catch and raise many different Pokemon, then battle them against other people. Many would think that after more than ten years this formula would start to get sour. Well they couldn't be more wrong. Pokemon SoulSilver feels exactly like a pokemon game, but something new and fresh at the same time.

Graphics: When the original pokemon Silver came out, it was considered graphically insane. Now fastforward to today and you have SoulSilver and it's graphics are outstanding. Everything has been touched upon from building to characters to mountains everything just feels immersive.

Story: Same old story. You are a boy or girl aspiring to become the worlds greatest pokemon trainer ever. To do this you must beat eight gym leader and the legendary elite four. In your way, however a villainous team always trys to interfere. This time it's Team Rocket, the bunch that started it all who will try to stop you. So overall the story hasn't changed, but it's still a blast.

Audio: All the classic sounds from the GBA have been brought new life in this remake, and to tell you the truth it rocks. Everything has been revamped and yet still feels the same. The classic Pokemon battle music is also great because it varies on what kind of trainer you face. Champion Lance's music is intense as you square of against his powerful dragon types, but your Rival's music is techno and upbeat. It's awesome.

Replay Value: This has to be it's weakest area as there is only one save file and if you want to relive the adventure you must start a new game. Fortunately now with your pokegear rematches against gym leaders are available and the elite four awaits you after you have all sixteen badges.

All things said Pokemon Soul-Silver is without a doubt worth the money spent on it. Well what are waiting go buy it!!
