A blast to the past!
I myself have played all the main pokemon games I call them and over the years the formula of pokemon has stayed the same and is still solid to this day. I won't go into details on what pokemon is about as you probably already know this and if not where have you been?
Being a remake this game has been ungraded on graphics to match the last game in the series pearl and diamond ..... and platinum (I wish they stopped making this 3rd games with so little extra content and yet I keep buying them"
Overall the game looks amazing and the areas are all familar and well done from the classic. Also what I liked most about this remake was the readding of certain classic areas which were removed because the game was to big back in the day to fit it all in 0_0 yah heartgold and soulsilver are most likely the biggest pokemon games around.
The game takes place 3 years after the first game and you choose male or female and oddly enough I was just wondering why the female lead was changed for lol why blue hair isn't cool now? lol Anyway so you travel from gym to the gym battle some bad guys and kick the elite fours butt and go up to the champion and say move aside loser theres a new champion in now! Then you go and kick all the other gym leaders butts and go and beat the last games hero! huh what do you know thats basically all there is for story and yet this is an rpg? lol oh well you can always make your own story up or something I suppose lol
So in conclusion updated graphics, areas readded or extras, 493 pokemon, killing classic gameplay.... need I say more? If your a pokemon fan you already got this and if your just trying it out now well its a good start and its on the best pokemon games around. Now wheres my Wii pokemon game that doesn't suck? Seriously? lol have fun guys!
