Pokemon heartgold and sousilver are great remakes to play, probably the best in it's series!

Ah pokemon heartgold and soulsilver, a very great game for the Nintendo DS. Pokemon heartgold and sousilver, obviously are remakes of the original games from 10 years ago known as pokemon gold and silver. This game has brought many new features.

Pokemon heartgold and sousilver, same thing, same deal. A trainer, trying to become the best trainer in the world, battling your ignorant rival, always getting annoyed from bastards who keep telling you that they caught or missed a pokemon. That's how it was with pokemon gold and silver. And now you can live it again with the remake of pokemon gold and silver.

Pokemon is just the same thing as always, recycling features. Every. Single. Time. Nothing new in this game, same crappy plot. Trying to become the best trainer in the world, beating the elite four, beating the crap out of team rocket. Only thing is that some of the plot has been changed a bit. Same thing with every game. And that's a problem for the series, it's always the same thing over, and over and over again. But it's not a big flaw that will ruin the whole game. It's just a tiny flaw with the game. But pokemon heartgold and sousilver can still bring that pokemon charm on the DS. The game characters have obviously made more sense, especially with the team rocket executives as they now have names. And there's quite a couple new characters in the game. The plot still has it's big flaw game, but no big deal.

From it's original game, it has improved by a lot. The apricorns are reintroduced, the PokeGear is also reintroduced in the game as well. The time, and day and night mechanic has returned in the remake, many new events to get pokemon, kimono girls making a role for you to catch lugia and ho-oh. You can obtain the running shoes, and a new side quest pokeathlon, in which you play 10 mini-games in a athletic championship. It's almost similar to pokemon contests as well. Berries can be obtained by planting instead of finding them in trees as the original game did, using the squirtbottle, you can plant berries.

You can also obtain the 3 starters from the 3 regions (Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn) in which you get from the professor Oak. You may also catch many legendary pokemon in the game, but the only problem is that some of them are events. And you have to wait in order to get it. Previous game's features that made the game get criticized are present in the remake. Now this means that the "EV" (Effort values) are present just to make everything complicated for the game. It's a shame that these things can't be simple enough in the first two generations. And now this is what became of pokemon, a joyful but complicated game.

After you beat the champion of the Johto region, it's time for you to beat the Kanto gym leaders, who tougher than the Johto ones. After that, you'll need to challenge the true champion of the game. Making the game fun and long, so you won't get bored of it. After that, you can rebattle the gym leaders, in which they're way tougher than before, with their pokemon very strong. This makes you want to play the game for a very long time.

A new change in the game is that your pokemon can come out of their pokeball, so it's similar to pokemon yellow with your pikachu, in which you can talk to them to see their mood, making the charm in this game more adorable. As in this generation you battle your friends using wi-fi, and a new area from platinum, known as the wi-fi plaza is also available in the game. Not the greatest feature, but it does bring some charm. Though the problem like every pokemon game is the gameplay is always the samething, or better to say recycled.

Needless to say, but this is a very great game. Though using the same DS engine as diamond, pearl, and platinum used, it looks quite great. Though there is a couple tweaks here and there, with many remixed songs and charm. And what makes it better is the poke walker, a device in which you just walk and walk to gain experience and happiness for your pokemon. Making an extra creamy soft layer of charm just for you.

But with the DS engine, the remake gets enhanced graphics to make it cool. The music in this game is great, all the songs are remixed and there's quite some new tracks in the game as well. Like in crystal, you can choose to be a boy or a girl, however, the girl in the original game has been replaced from a different girl. But however, the game feels a bit outdated especially the engine it's using. Especially with the pokemon sprites and growls, they feel outdated. But it's not a big deal for the game, as it's a small flaw. From platinum, the characters have animations again, as well with the pokemon.

The design in this game has improved by a lot, but compared to the series, it's outdated. But for a remake, it looks great, at least better than the gameboy color version. Many new buildings, and the 3D structures look very improved from 10 years ago. Though as I said before, pokemon sprites are still the same lame thing. The buildings improved, but not the pokemon sprites.

Overall, the game is worth to play, especially with all it's packed features and music, and the fine addition named the pokewalker. If you're a hardcore pokemon fan, and you want a great game, this is definitely for you. With all the charm and design in this game. It's great, if you ignore all the complicated crap and play the game. It would be a fantastic game for you to play forever and ever. There's some problems here and there, but it doesn't matter as it really wouldn't affect the game so much. Though at one point, you'll get bored of the pokewalker and you'll throw it away, eventually the game as well. But you'll never get bored of the game for a while.
