Best Pokemon game in the series due to the fact that it stands out from the others with 2 regions and an epic final boss

- Just Right
- Time Spent:
- 40 to 100 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Best in series"
All the way from your very first badge to the Johto hall of fame, this seems like Pokemon B/R/Y with 100 additional Pokemon but the last half of the game actually make this feel like a real squeal and the successor to R/B/Y that it was aiming for. After you complete the new region you go back to Kanto and different events happen then they did in the original so it doesn't fell like they just attached Pokemon R/B/Y on at the end to make it lengthier. *Possible Spoiler* I remember getting all 16 badges and being permitted by Professor Oak to go to Mt. Silver. I was expecting it to be a new legendary so I was freaking out out with excitement because I still had my master ball from the first half of the game. When I got to the top of the Mt. Silver wasn't a legendary but a trainer, facing away from you. I talk to him and when he turned around I noticed it was the trainer from R/B/Y! I remember how cool that was for me when I first saw it and it really was better than putting a second elite four which they were originally going to do. Like most kids a the time I lost because his Pokemon were in the 70 and 80s and mine were in the 50s and 60s. I stayed up all night that night training and when I finally beat him I actually felt like a Pokemon master, something I never felt in any other Pokemon installment. Just the fact that this game did what no other game in the series did automatically made it my favorite and I still play it all the time on the DS remake :)

Sabrina uses Psychic types, and strong ones at that. There were some rough spots when dealing with Mr.Mime and Alakazam, but I got through the mess.Posted Aug 4, 2011
