Pokemon fire red and leaf green was released September 7th 2004, but im just reviewing fire red because this is the one i currently am playing because i started a new game but anyways fire red and leaf green are a remake of the red and blue version for the the game boy except they put it on the game boy advance, leaf green is called leaf green because it is suppose to a remake of green version that was only released in japan blue and green are the same exact game just in the USA its called blue in japan its green i don't why they did that i find it kind of dumb. the only difference is the graphics, and after you beat the elite four you got to these islands and you catch different Pokemon there not just kanto Pokemon, like unknown and others. one thing i like is they brought the legendary dogs back into the series and you can catch them in fire red and leaf green after you beat the elite four which i thought was great, so now you can catch the legendary birds mew two, and the legendary dogs. they added three new moves you can get on one of the islands that your starter Pokemon can learn and yes the starters are the same as well charmander, bulbasaur, squirtle. the whole game is basically the same, if your just getting into Pokemon and gaming i recommend this game because its a remake of the original Pokemon games and unlike the original ones these give a tutorial of how to play the games if you press L or R so you should get this game. it is great i started playing it again because it is so fun i like how they added more stuff to do after the elite four besides getting every Pokemon i swear getting every Pokemon is the most boring part.
