Pioneered the element of monster raising!

User Rating: 10 | Pocket Monsters LeafGreen GBA
Pokemon, as kiddy as it may seem, innovated the concept of catching and raising monsters. While it came out at roughly the same time as Digimon, Pokemon, unlike its counterpart, has withstood the test of time and continued to much fanfare. Prior to Pokemon, hardly few games (with the exception of Dragon Warrior Monsters I & II) had the idea of catching and raising monsters. Pokemon introduced this concept back in 1998 and Leaf Green and Fire Red demonstrate that. Remakes of the original Red and Blue, they are by all means a superior upgrade to its predecessors. It expands on the elements first introduced in Red and Blue with all new features that are unique to this versions as well the upgrades introduced in Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. This time, there are 386 Pokemon to catch and of course the Elite Four is much tougher than in its predecessors. A game of this magnitude can not be passed up and all GBA owners, especially the original Pokemon fans must own these copies!
